343. The Woman and the Vulture
Change often brings uncertainty and fear, but it also brings opportunity. A story about embracing change follows a character who faces a major life transition, whether it be a new career, a move to a new city, or any shift that pushes them out of their comfort zone. At first, they may resist the change, worried about failing or floundering in unfamiliar territory. However, as the story progresses, they realize that change, while intimidating, allows room for growth.

342. Its about the journey with Marucs Aurelius...
Marcus supports parents of preteens (10-14 y.o.) so they can show up and maintain a meaningful relationship with their child during these natural 'identity-breaking' years. He works with parents who value doing hard things and want to be present for their tween before it's too late to bridge the gap. He especially finds joy in supporting multicultural families; families who communicate across generational and cultural divides. That's because he also grew up in a diverse home, with a mom from the Philippines and a dad from the Bahamas ). Along with that, he's served internationally (in East Asia, Europe, South East Asia, Middle East, and South America) for over a decade and a half. Now he's on a mission to globally mend parent/child relationships through communication and the stories they share using 'The SHOW UP Framework'. "The SHOW UP Framework" stands for: 🆂 — Start with a Strong Identity (All Action Starts from Identity) 🅷 — Hold Space for Collaboration (For Critical Thinking and Collaborative Problem Solving) 🅾 — Open Up Communication (Pass on Values w/o Being Preachy) 🆆 — Wonder and Explore this World Together (Project Based Living) 🆄🅿 — Unveil Potential Together   Links Marcus Aurelius Higgs 52 Hike Challange Squatch Tea Company Project Mindfully Outdoors

Only you can create music that is uniquely yours; it's a task no one else can accomplish for you. The collective harmony of each person's individual music contributes to the diversity of our community and the world. Like Cloud, who sang his own melancholic tune, you add to the tapestry of life. He didn't conform to the masses; he blazed his own trail, composed his own melodies, and shared the emotions of his heart. Embracing our true selves transforms life into a magical, unparalleled experience, freeing us from the confines of 'should' and allowing us to simply exist. Page Park, an expert in grief yoga, tapped into the power of yoga and breathwork to find her inner connection. After years of putting others first, she discovered her own way through her personal yoga practice. By integrating yoga asanas, meditation, and maintaining a gratitude journal, she noticed a positive shift in her mindset and a greater ability to navigate life's hurdles. Page applied these practices and the insights from her SoulWork yoga teacher training to develop programs that help others. We are diving into meditation and spirituality for today's campfire with my guest Swami Nityananda.  About Swami Swami Nityananda became a student of Swami Shankarananda in 2010. Swami Shankarananda, who founded the meditation community, immediately recognized her as his successor. He announced that publicly in 2013 when he consecrated her as spiritual teacher and spiritual leader of the meditation community. In 2014 he consecrated her as a Swami and asked her to carry on his lineage and the teaching of Kriya Yoga. Since 2014 she has volunteered as spiritual teacher and spiritual leader of Awake Yoga Meditation. As Juniper Ellis, she is Professor of English at Loyola University, where she teaches American Literature and World Literature Written in English. She earned her PhD at Vanderbilt University. She has held Fulbright grants in New Zealand and Germany, and other national awards including an Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship and an NEH grant. Her book Tattooing the World: Pacific Designs in Print and Skin was published by Columbia University Press. Her scholarly articles have appeared in respected journals in many English-speaking countries. Her teaching helps listeners and readers connect with the reality of love, wisdom, liberation, joy, harmony, and kindness. People who meditate with her find Swami Nityananda practices a selfless way of living in the world that asks, "How may I be of service?" and models through open-hearted, generous, and effervescent guidance, a path for us all to recognize our own inherent divine qualities, and to see the same in everyone.      Links Awake Yoga Meditation Cope Notes use promo code PROJECTOUTDOORS10 to save 10% on new subscriptions Project Mindfully Outdoors

321. Hillary Dahi on the Gems hidden under the ...
In today's podcast episode, I took some time out while exploring one of Michigan's GEMS hunting units to set up this beautiful conversation. Which was a very fitting location to share with you. My guest at the campfire is a transformation coach. Who learned the skills she shared with her clients by taking the reins of her own life. Hilary Dahi hit that point many of us come across. Where we figure out that our current skin no longer fits us. By facing the fear of blazing a new trail for herself Hilary uncovered her true purpose in life and lives to share her journey to help others blaze their new trails. What makes our conversation so special is how Hilary shares the struggles of discovery. Instead of staying the victim with the story. She blended grace and understanding with drive and a willingness to learn.     Links Hilary Dahi   Cope Notes USE CODE PROJECTOUTDOORS10 to save on new subscriptions    My Medic USE CODE PROJECTOUTDOORS15 to save on all your 1st aid needs   Project Mindfully Outdoors
