How do I find the time to "do it all"? | #AskDa...
People always ask me how I manage my time or how I find the time for all the activity in my life and I always tell them to be a student of their calendar. There are three things you need to study on your calendar, not just look at, but study. 1. Study the things you have planned for the day. Look to create efficiencies with your habits. For example, I have a 5/20 Rule, where I try to schedule five-minute phone calls and keep my in-person meetings to 20 minutes, which ultimately promotes a more productive conversation. 2. Study the white space of your calendar. How can you schedule more of those five-minute calls or 20-minute meetings? How can you be more accessible to those who might need you? And don’t forget to ensure you schedule downtime for activities that you enjoy, which I call “activities you don’t get paid for.” 3. Study your sleep. It not only is the restorative process, but it enhances your immune system, which is of the utmost importance. You need to build a consistent sleep routine that helps restore not only your physical being but your mental health, as well. There are three phases to scaling a business: Phase 1: Learning Stage During the learning stage, introduce your values to new members of the team. It is vital that all employees are aligned with the values of your business. Help your team connect to what inspires them, and they are more likely to live by your business’s values. Phase 2: Execution In the execution stage, employees learn to maintain proper balance in achieving the company’s mission. Having a motto or mission to guide employees during this stage is important for success in a values-based business. Think about your overarching goals and what you want to accomplish. How can you make your mission into your story? Phase 3: Partnership (Equity) Once an employee shows commitment to these values, that opens up the door for the partnership/equity phase, where employees are rewarded for their dedication, success, and the revenues they have brought into your business.The partnership stage allows you to reinvest in your most successful (and aligned) employees and also helps to retain these individuals. One of my favorite quotes is from the poet David White, "Vulnerability is not a weakness, a passing in the position or something we can arrange to do without vulnerability is not choice. Vulnerability is the underlying, ever present, and abiding under current of all natural state." In order to be vulnerable, we must illuminate our mistakes. Being vulnerable means that you are honest and accountable, especially when analyzing yourself. We need to know what we are good at, what areas we need to improve in, what we're hiding, our flaws, our experience where shame lies, we must be accountable and look within our ego to be truthful with ourselves. Simply put, being vulnerable makes you invulnerable. Ask & Attract | Road to Revenue #47
There are two simple ways to get what you want in life or business: 1. You can ask for it. 2. You can attract it. ASK: A piece of information or content with a specifically designed “ask” built in for the target market that will inspire them to take action. Ask people for help or ask people if they know somebody who can help. When you ask people if they know somebody that can help, you have exponentially more success, because everyone has hundreds of connections to other people on average. ATTRACT: A piece of information or content with no clear ask but that instead has the goal of drawing the target audience’s attention to a brand or inspires them to take some action, whether defined or undefined. An attract’s result comes when you are focused and put both your attention and intention on what you want in life, whether personally or professionally. Raise your awareness, the more you raise your awareness, the faster you will be able to get back to center, or your highest frequency. One way that you can start raising your awareness is by spending a minimum of a minute day when you first wake up to find your highest frequency. You only get one action in a day, everything that happens after that is a reaction to that initial action. Throughout the day, when you find yourself in ego-based consciousness, a heightened awareness will allow you to quickly be able to stop, drop back towards your highest vibration, and roll towards your potential. Fear and anxiety will motivate you, but it will drain you. It will get you started, but in reality it is slowing you down. Use the focus that fear and anxiety give you, and transition it into inspiration. Imagine that you are running a race, using fear and anxiety is just like adding weights to a backpack. I may be slower than you, but if I am inspired, it is only a matter a time before I am laps ahead of you. Take the backpack off and run the race inspired. Motivation is temporary, inspirations lasts forever. What would you tell your 20-year-old self? | #A...
The best advice I can give to any 20, 30, 40, 50-year-old is radical humility. Be radically humble, the more you learn, the more you learn that you don't know. Ask for help. If you are asking just one person a day, "do you know anyone that can help me?" you will see exponential results. Back then everyone only had their church group, golf foursome, or small group of friends, but now most people have about 1,000 people in their network. Just by asking one person a day if they know anyone that can help you, you are expanding your network by at least 30,000 people a month. Be radically humble and ask for help. How do I Prioritize My Time to Get More Done in...
Taking inventory of your values every day will allow you to get more done in a day. Take some time every day and ask yourself, what do I want today? Next, you have to find out who can you be of service or value to, and who you can ask "do you know anyone that can help me?" Then you have to study your calendar, study the activity you have planned, and the activity that you don't have planned. When something pops up that wasn't originally planned, go back to your values and ask yourself, "can I do this now?" If you can do it now then do it, if you can't then put it back into the white space in your calendar to do later or delegate it to someone else. Then you have to practice ending fear, when you find yourself in ego-based consciousness, stop, identify that you are accelerating in the wrong direction, take a deep breath, then roll in a different trajectory back to your highest frequency. If you have been laid off during this time there are three things you need to do to get back on your feet. First you need to get motivated, motivation will get you up, get you back up, and get you started, then you have to transition that into inspiration.Next you need to be radically humble, ask people "do you know anyone that can help me?" Treat every person as a sponsor or power sponsor. Social media platforms are great for amplifying information and social networking is a term for using these platforms to connect with one another. There are Five Steps to Maximize Your Network: Step 1 - Know Your What - Take stock of what you’re planning to use each social media platform for.Step 2 - Know Your Who - Be clear about who is using each platform, as well as their reasoning behind using that platform.Step 3 - Know Your How - Think about the mediums through which you are going to connect and network with others. Consider what fits your content (and your skills to produce that content) best. In all likelihood, there are multiple mediums you can use to expand your networkStep 4. Know Your Now - This is where you evaluate what you are currently equipped with that helps you to network right now, as well as what you can do to improve your connections.
