Scientists Have Discovered How Mars Became a De...
Scientists have discovered the real reason Mars turned into a dry, barren desert, and it’s pretty shocking. A long time ago, the Red Planet had lakes, rivers, and maybe even oceans, but something caused all that water to disappear. It turns out Mars lost its protective magnetic field, which let solar winds strip away its atmosphere over millions of years. Without a thick atmosphere to trap heat and keep water from evaporating, the planet slowly dried up. Now, all that’s left are dusty plains, deep canyons, and frozen ice beneath the surface. But if we ever want to live there, scientists are working on ways to bring some of that lost water back! The First Animal on Earth Is Finally Found
Ever wonder what the very first animal on Earth was? 🐾 Scientists believe they’ve finally figured it out, and it’s not what you’d expect! It wasn’t a dinosaur or a giant sea creature—it was a simple, jelly-like organism called a comb jelly. 🌊 These tiny, shimmering creatures existed over 500 million years ago and paved the way for all animals today. What’s mind-blowing is how their simple bodies and nervous systems can still teach us about evolution. 🧬✨ Credit: b3ean0 / Reddit Life in the Ediacaran sea: By Ryan Somma, CC BY-SA 2.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/... , https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi... Something Is Moving Inside the Moon, Scientists...
Get this - scientists have discovered that something is actually moving inside the Moon! It sounds straight out of a sci-fi movie, but it’s real. Using special equipment, they’ve detected small shifts and movements deep beneath the Moon’s surface, which might be caused by cooling, shrinking, or even leftover seismic activity from billions of years ago. Some think it could also be related to mysterious molten material still lurking below the crust. These movements are tiny, but they’re helping researchers piece together the Moon’s history and what’s going on under its surface. It’s like the Moon has its own secret life, and we’re just starting to uncover it! Cool, right? Credit: Moon Composition: By NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, https://science.nasa.gov/moon/composi... Understand Your Dog Better: 10 Dog Behaviors Ex...
How to Understand Your Dog Better. Dog lovers will agree dogs are the best pets to have: friendly, straightforward, and open, and they don't have that air of mystery that cats do. However, sometimes dogs do strange things and show body language we can hardly explain. We’ll tell you why your beloved pet wants to chase its tail, hump legs, and sniff other dogs' butts. TIMESTAMPS: Why does my dog sniff other dogs' butts? 0:48 Why does my dog walk in circles before lying down? 1:56 Why does my dog hump legs, objects, and other dogs? 2:58 Why does my dog drag their butt on the floor? 4:08 Why does my dog chase its tail? 5:06 Why does my dog cock its head while looking at me? 6:09 Why does my dog eat grass? 6:55 Why does my dog twitch a leg when scratched? 7:44 Why does my dog howl? 8:23 Why does my dog stare at me? 9:06 Why does my dog sniff other dogs' butts? 0:48 Your pet is collecting detailed information about their new acquaintance. Dogs have anal glands that can give away much personal information: their gender and reproductive status, how healthy they are, and even what they had for breakfast. The smell these glands emit is unique to each dog - just like a human fingerprint. Why does my dog chase its tail? 5:06 Being smart and social, dogs may notice that when they are running after their tail, their master pays them more attention. Other reasons for tail-chasing may not be so cheerful. If a dog is injured, they will try to reach their tail to ease the pain. A dog may suffer from parasite bites or have a skin irritation. Also, dogs that run after their tails can have psychological issues or anxiety. Why does my dog eat grass? 6:55 there are several reasons why a dog can eat something that isn't suited to their diet. First of all, this may be a sign of boredom, especially when a dog is still quite young. Secondly, eating grass may improve your dog's digestion and treat intestinal worms (you don't know about that, but your pet does!). Perhaps your dog feels the need for fiber. Or they may simply like the taste of fresh grass. Why does my dog stare at me? 9:06 If your pet's eyes never leave you, the chances are high that they are just waiting for you to give them a treat or show them your affection. But sometimes staring can be a sign of aggression. That's why, before staring back, you should make sure that the dog isn't scared or feeling threatened. Music: Brain Trust . Wayne Jones https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... other sounds - https://www.audioblocks.com/royalty-f... SUMMARY: -If your dog is sniffing other dog’s butt, it’s actually collecting detailed information about their new acquaintance using their anal glands. -Before falling asleep, half wolf and half dog creatures nested by walking around to pat down grass, leaves, small branches, and other debris to make a nice sleeping spot, hence the habit to walk in circles before lying down. -If a humping dog is not neutered or spayed and younger than one year old, this is exactly what the dog is seeking: some form of coupling. However, when a dog is fixed and mature, this behavior can signal a desire to show dominance. -Butt dragging might be a result of that your pet is suffering from health problems, such as a tapeworm or problems with their anal glands. -If a dog is injured (perhaps after getting their tail slammed in a door), they will try to reach their tail to ease the pain. Also, dogs that run after their tails can have psychological issues or anxiety. -Dogs may tilt their heads as they’re trying to make sense of what they hear. -First of all, eating grass may be a sign of boredom, especially when a dog is still quite young. Secondly, eating grass may improve your dog's digestion and treat intestinal worms -Leg twitching is caused by the nerves that are connected to the dog's spinal cord. -While howling might be passed to modern dogs from their wild ancestors, this activity is also most likely simply rewarding and necessary for dogs. -While normally it just means your pet is waiting for a treat, sometimes staring can be a sign of aggression. 10 Smart Tricks to Avoid Pickpockets
How to Protect Yourself from Pickpockets. Even if you’re super careful and attentive, you’re still not 100% protected from pickpocketing. If you don’t want to lose your money and save yourself from falling victim of pickpockets, pay attention to some simple but important tips that can help you save your money and other valuables. The most popular pickpocketing schemes: "Sandwiching" their victim 3:12 Criminal #1 forces the victim to stop suddenly. They might ask for directions or drop a bag full of groceries, spilling the contents everywhere. Most people will stop to help someone in need. Meanwhile, criminal #2 goes in for the attack. He “accidentally” bumps into the victim, apologizes profusely, and walks away with a stolen wallet. Pretending to have been robbed 4:25 Sometimes in a crowded place, you might hear a person scream, "Somebody’s stolen my wallet!". Of course, after this, everybody usually starts checking if their valuables are safe. They pat their pockets or open their bags and peek inside. What they don't realize is that this is just a trick to help pickpockets determine with 100% precision where everybody keeps their money. Using kids 5:00 Pickpockets will use any means necessary to distract you, and they eagerly involve children in their criminal schemes. For instance, they send a cute little kid to distract you by showing you their drawing or toy while an adult member of the crooked crew (or even another child) sneaks up on you from behind. How to protect yourself from pickpockets 7:19 First of all, make it hard for criminals to get to your belongings. Avoid big crowds. Don't constantly touch your bag or your pocket where you keep your wallet or money. Never ever count your money in public! If you carry a purse, shorten the strap. If you go to a place notorious for pickpocketing incidents, it may be a good idea to prepare a fake wallet. If you travel with a backpack, wear it the other way around, on your front. Music: Argentina_Tango_Bandonian https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... TIMESTAMPS Common myths about pickpocketing 0:43 Top-choice places to rob people 2:30 Popular pickpocketing schemes: "Sandwiching" their victim 3:12 Fake drowning 3:58 Pretending to have been robbed 4:25 Using kids 5:00 A fight 5:32 Singling tourists out 5:58 Cities with high levels of pickpocketing 6:48 How to protect yourself from pickpockets 7:19 SUMMARY -Most common pickpocketing myths are believing that you’d surely feel someone putting their hand in your bag or pocket, hoping for safety of your inner pockets, and claiming that you avoid crowds and thus will stay safe. -Pickpockets operate at museums, beaches, open markets, restaurants, train stations and airports and in public transport. -One criminal asks the victim to stop and help them while the second one bumps into him and steals the wallet. -The victim rushes to save the “inexperienced swimmer” while their belongings are stolen from the beach. -While you check your pockets after someone “has been robbed” the pickpockets find out exactly where you’re hiding your valuables. -They send a cute little kid to distract you while adult criminals rob you. -Fake fights draw crowds that are a perfect place for collecting wallets. -Criminals eagerly go for tourists, so stay alert. -Hanoi, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris are top 5 cities, which are notorious for high levels of pickpocketing. -Don't keep your wallet in your back pocket or in a bag that doesn’t close entirely. Avoid big crowds. Never ever count your money in public. When you go out, take only the bare minimum. 9 Hormones That Lead to Weight Gain and Ways to...
How to Lose Weight without Workouts. You might think the only reason why you gain weight is overeating, but in fact it can also be the result of your hormones being all out of whack. Triggers like stress, age, genes, and poor lifestyle choices can cause a hormonal imbalance that leads to weight problems. To get the perfect body and keep it slim and slender, you have to follow our simple tips and keep 9 hormones under control. Thyroid hormones 0:45 The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland at the base of the neck. It produces the hormones T3, T4, and calcitonin, which are responsible for maintaining the body’s metabolism. If the thyroid doesn’t produce enough of these hormones, a condition called hypothyroidism, the result is often weight gain. To keep it under control, consume iodized salt (or seaweed if you’re on a low-salt diet). Avoid processed foods. Take vitamin D supplements. Consume foods rich in zinc like oysters and pumpkin seeds. Insulin 1:32 Overconsuming processed foods, unhealthy snacks, alcohol, or artificially sweetened drinks can cause the body to develop a resistance to insulin. This means that muscle cells won’t recognize glucose-bound insulin, so all that extra glucose remains in the bloodstream where it doesn’t belong. This causes a spike in blood sugar levels, leading to weight gain and Type 2 diabetes. To avoid it, consume lots of leafy greens and seasonal fruits and veggies. Eat foods full of omega-3 fatty acids. Drink at least a gallon of water every day. Exercise a minimum of 4 hours a week. Testosterone 3:45 Testosterone is often considered a strictly male hormone, but it’s produced in women too. It helps burn fat, strengthen the bones and muscles, and improve the libido. Age and high stress can cause a significant decrease in testosterone levels in women, leading to a loss of bone density and muscle mass. Work-out regularly and focus on muscle-building exercises. It helps boost testosterone levels. Avoid alcohol. Take protein supplements. Get enough fiber in your diet with the help of whole-grain foods, pumpkin seeds, and flaxseed. Leptin 6:39 Leptin is a hormone that keeps the body’s energy levels balanced by keeping hunger at bay. But when we eat food rich in sugar, the oversupply of fructose gets converted to fat that gets deposited in the liver, belly, and other regions of the body. It’s these very fat cells that secrete leptin. With high leptin levels, the brain stops receiving signals that the body doesn’t need to eat at a particular moment. Avoid sugary foods. Have no more than 3 servings of fruit per day. Consume dark green leafy veggies. Avoid processed food. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... TIMESTAMPS Thyroid hormones 0:45 Insulin 1:32 Cortisol 2:39 Testosterone 3:45 Progesterone 4:40 Estrogen 5:33 Leptin 6:39 Ghrelin 7:42 Melatonin 8:12 To sum it up 9:05 SUMMARY -If the thyroid doesn’t produce enough of hormones T3, T4, and calcitonin, a condition called hypothyroidism, the result is often weight gain. -Insulin is basically responsible for maintaining glucose levels in the blood. Overconsuming processed foods, unhealthy snacks, alcohol, or artificially sweetened drinks can cause the body to develop a resistance to insulin. -The primary function of cortisol is to decrease stress levels by increasing blood sugar levels, among other things. Too much cortisol makes the body store more fat. -Age and high stress can cause a significant decrease in testosterone levels in women, leading to a loss of bone density and muscle mass. -Progesterone secretion can drop due to a variety of factors. This can result in weight gain and sagging skin. -When estrogen levels go up, the cells that produce insulin get stressed. This makes you resistant to insulin, which causes a rise in blood glucose levels and leads to weight gain. -When leptin levels go up, the brain stops receiving signals that the body doesn’t need to eat at a particular moment. -Ghrelin stimulates the appetite and increases fat deposition. -Melatonin is a hormone that regulates your natural sleep-wake cycle. If we don’t get proper sleep, this healing process gets disrupted, which causes stress and ultimately leads to inflammation-induced weight gain. -Getting enough sleep, keeping a nutritionally balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, getting at least some physical exercise, and avoiding or limiting stress will keep your hormones under control. 9 Things Experts Don’t Recommend to Do Before Bed
A good night’s sleep recharges your system, lowers stress levels, promotes weight loss, and even makes you live longer. Some popular pre-bed habits most of us have can deprive you of all that. If you want to fall asleep easily and get enough of healthy sleep every night, you have to follow some simple but very effective rules. Even though we tend to think that working up a good sweat at the gym will only help us fall asleep faster, that’s not always the case. The trick here is to finish your workout 3-4 or even 6 hours before you go to bed. You can have some water in the evenings, you just need to experiment and find your perfect amount. The National Sleep Foundation states that, in general, most people sleep well through the night after just an 8 oz glass of water before bed. Try to limit naps to 20 minutes because longer naps require you to wake up from a deeper sleep. As a result, they'll only make you feel groggy afterwards instead of refreshed. Working late increases the chances of you spending the next few hours lying in bed thinking about all your tasks. Instead, clear your mind, create a plan for tomorrow, and write it down. You won't be at your best if don't get proper sleep, so put everything away and relax. Be extremely careful with pills, especially prescription meds, since they can have all kinds of effects on your sleep. Some cause drowsiness while others can make you super alert. This is especially true of antidepressants. Painkillers also don’t contribute to healthy sleep, so use precaution when taking them before bed. Many people think that a hot bath contributes to good sleep, but that's just one more popular myth. The truth is that it's a change in temperature that helps us fall asleep, not the hot bath or shower itself. And the higher this temperature difference is, the more we want to sleep. If You See This On Your Car, Don't Touch It And...
How to Protect Yourself from Car Thieves. Criminals regularly invent new scam schemes to rid you of your car or belongings that you forgetfully leave in it. The only way to protect your car from being stolen and save yourself from thieve attacks is to stay alert and well-informed and follow some essential safety tips. How to deal with a GPS tracker on your car 1:03 Criminals use magnetic GPS trackers they can even throw out of the window of their car that is passing by your vehicle. The trackers will lead robbers to your flat or house. In addition, they will be able to find out when you leave your car in a deserted place and get inside. If you locate a magnetic tracker attached to your car, remove it in a random place that is far from your home or work and is off the way to these locations. After you remove the tracker, take a photo of the device to provide some evidence to the police. How to stay safe abroad 4:30 People tend to feel more relaxed on holiday that's why they just don't register the same threat they are well aware of in their home country. For example, in Spain, there have been numerous cases when criminals targeted drivers of foreign-registered cars. When abroad, always park your car in sight, if you leave your car, take all valuable belongings with you. Be extra cautious of those people who flag you down. "Smash-and-grab" approach 5:30 Car robbers come up to your car when you're waiting at a traffic light or suffer in a traffic jam, smash the car window, and grab anything expensive they can see. While you can do nothing with waiting in the traffic, you can cover the windows of your car with a protective safety film. How to ensure the safety of your car 6:25 Leave your doors open and your windows rolled down if you park your car in a "bad" neighborhood. If you want to make your vehicle unappealing to car robbers, make it as messy inside as possible. Don't leave anything (literally anything) in sight. Make sure that the measures you've taken to protect your car are visible. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... TIMESTAMPS How to deal with a GPS tracker on your car 1:03 How to stay safe abroad 4:30 "Smash-and-grab" approach 5:30 How to ensure the safety of your car 6:25 SUMMARY -If you see a GPS tracker on your car, be extremely cautious. Criminals use them to stalk you, pure and simple. -When abroad, be extra cautious of those people who flag you down. Your valuables should be not only out of reach but also out of sight. -Robbers need a fast getaway. If they have to bash your car window again and again, they will most likely get caught. So, do everything you can to make your windows as impact-absorbent as possible. -Leave anything that has value (CD's, sports equipment, GPS, suitcases) in the trunk of your car. Park in well-lit areas. Under a street lamp, criminals feel uncomfortable and exposed. If you want to make your vehicle unappealing to car robbers, make it as messy inside as possible. 7 Traits of a Strong Personality Any Person Can...
Taking the positive personality traits you have for granted, you don't always consider ways to develop and improve your own character. Some strong personality traits require consistent effort before they really become a part of who you are. If you're ready for some hard work, you can start your way to a better and more successful self! A psychological study has been conducted recently at Ohio State University. It has been found out that your career plans are influenced by the level of your self-esteem! 67 undergraduate students with majors in psychology or business participated in this research. It has turned out that the more confident and encouraged by professors students were, the bigger dreams about the future they had. People who are always ready to help don't always get gratitude from others. Paradoxically, this feature is rarely appreciated, and any help is most often perceived as a normal thing. Moreover, any situation where you give more than you receive or share something that you lack provokes stress. People like those who have fun personalities and can laugh at themselves and their failures. Laughter helps to cope with stress, see positivity, and communicate with others. Despite a common misconception, the highest-performing employees don't overwork, as studies show. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/... TIMESTAMPS Self-confidence 0:50 The ability to say "No" 2:02 Sense of humor 3:37 Hard-working 4:40 The ability to read other people 5:51 The ability to attract people 6:52 The ability to control the reactions of your body 7:54 SUMMARY -A great way to feel more confident is to do physical exercise! What is more, stop perceiving the reactions of other people as the rules that you need to follow. -Remember that it's possible to say "no" at any moment. Don't be afraid to offend a person by your refusal since it's likely that you aren't the only person who can help. -Watch how other people reply to comments with a joke that gets met by even more jokes. Don't get offended at the slightest thing and learn to laugh at yourself. -For better results and performance, turn off any messengers, put your phone on vibrate, and don't listen to music if it distracts you. Immerse yourself in the task that you need to complete. -In order to understand the motives of other people and to see the reasons behind their behavior, it's necessary to pay attention to what they are saying and doing, where they are looking, and who makes them smile. Combine the clues and you'll see the truth. -When talking to someone, try to make an eye contact, look at the companion in a calm and relaxed way. Don't forget to smile. -To develop this ability, you need to learn to determine and understand your emotions. A fast heartbeat, tense muscles, and a lack or excess of energy or appetite are all signs of anxiety. It's possible to calm yourself down with the help of breathing exercises and meditation. 8 Habits Poor People Do And Rich Don't
How to become rich and successful without working hard? In some sense, poverty isn't a lack of money but a particular life program that people create in their mind. Here're 8 habits of a poor person as well as the reasons that can prevent you from getting rich and living a wealthy life. TIMESTAMPS If you stop working, you won't be able to support your habitual lifestyle for longer than 3 months. 1:02 You are in a constant search for sales. 1:52 It takes you more than an hour to get to work. 2:46 You have some bills that you can hardly pay. 3:46 You aim for immediate profit. 5:19 You spend money before you have earned it. 6:11 You have drifted away from your family. 7:26 You expect that the government will change your life for the better. 8:15 SUMMARY There are numerous examples when a poor person became rich without any family support or a substantial inheritance. In other cases, people had all personal qualities and possibilities necessary to earn a lot but they were too unsure of themselves to take the first step. If you feel that you're one of such people, don't get desperate. Create a so-called financial safety cushion. To do this, put some money aside every month. What is even better, try to find a source of passive income: it can be an investment in real estate, shares, or securities. If you always look for price tags with a magic word "discount" on them or try to buy goods only at sales, you have another habit of a poor person. The same goes for buying cheap things. The best thing you can do is to find an accommodation close to your work or figure out a way to spend as little time as possible to get there. If both options are unacceptable, use the time you spend on the way effectively: studying foreign languages or reading career-related books. If you pay loans for your mobile phone, car, furniture, and even traveling, something has gone wrong. There's a rule that says that debt payments shouldn't be more than 40 percent of your earnings. It's better to accept a job offer from a serious company with a lower starting salary: this will give you an opportunity to build a career and earn much more after some time. Don't concentrate on the sum of money you'll get after the first months of work. Think globally. Banks have pretty long periods during which you don't have to pay interest fees. However, this is just one more clever psychological trick. You'll be surprised how many people believe that they can achieve something worthy only acting on their own, separated from their family. But in fact, the situation is opposite: a person can't build a successful career or start a profitable business without a support of their family. Poor people often believe that while they have been working for all their life, the government should pay them more than enough when they retire. They count on social security to support them after they stop working. And exactly here there's a difference between poor and rich people. While people with low income spend most of their money on housing, those who have high income invest in retirement expenses and insurance, according to the data provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. If you’re dealing with sites that require a login, like bank sites, check for the green bar alongside the green lock. -Allowing programs that you're unfamiliar with or whose names you haven’t heard of might seriously damage the security of your computer. -Try not to link your personal accounts to unknown sites to protect your account and your private information. -Intruders can divert the messages from your mobile device, so don't link your phone number with your social media accounts. -Using Windows XP or an older version of Windows increases your risk of getting hacked. -If you want to be more secure while visiting scrupulous sites, use a sandbox (a very strictly controlled environment where different programs can be run). -Don’t open unknown attachments and don’t even think about opening emails that look like spam. 8 Things Highly Intelligent People Won't Do
We constantly hear about the principles smart people live by and the habits that make them successful. But what about the things they don't do? Maybe these no-nos help them on their way to the top just as much the stuff they make sure to do? Let's take a look at what things highly intelligent people avoid doing and how this influences their lives for the better. TIMESTAMPS They always try to save money. 0:42 They don't rely on others. 1:38 They don't agree with something they don't like. 2:25 They don't hold grudges. 3:04 They don't count on luck. 3:50 They don't give up on their ideas. 4:39 They don't dwell on the past. 5:34 They don't let other people bring them down. 6:24 SUMMARY One of the many useful skills clever people certainly possess is being in control of their finances. Just stop and think: can't you make it work yourself? Your fear of doing something wrong is just an imaginary roadblock standing in your way. “No” is one of the most useful words ever, and you shouldn't be afraid to use it. It saves you time, helps you steer clear of unwanted obligations. The truth is that holding grudges is useless and doesn't help the situation at all. Learn to let go and free yourself from any negative energy. Intelligent people would just rather be ready for any possible outcome. Just because a couple of people think that it's not gonna work doesn't mean that you should quit doing something you love. Smart people aren't ashamed of blunders and don't constantly replay them over and over again in their minds. Intelligent people realize that and know that not everybody is gonna like them. And that's okay because just like all other people, they aren't here to be liked. Music - https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/...
