I'm Back!
Your host is back, and so is Brave The Wild at long last! Too bad the success rate the Minnesota Wild isn't back to where it was early in the season, as sloppy goal-tending, poor decision making, bad passes, and lousy defensive positioning continues to plague what should be a contender in the Western Conference. www.thesportsstuff.com "Like" Brave The Wild on Facebook @bravethewild Call into our Phone Lines at:209-736-7877

Attempting To Close The Gap
Well, after a six month hiatus, due to a crazy schedule, Brave The Wild is finally back, and here to stay! Joey does his best to attempt to close the gap between last year's playoffs to today, then previews the following week, and ends with a brief catchup on a sobering Iowa Wild season. Double Deja Vu
It's like we're seeing double in multiple ways, with the Minnesota Wild, past and present. The Wild's amazing games 6 and 7 in Colorado, harkened back to the old days. Frustrating losses in the first two games in Chicago have been all too familiar as well. Home Ice Advantage
Home ice has proven to be a thorn in the side for the visitor along the way through this entire season thus far, will it continue? If it does, the Wild would lose this series in 7. For the Wild to win this series, they have no choice but to buck this trend, can they? "Like" Brave The Wild on Facebook Follow us on Twitter: @bravethewild Call into our Phone Lines at: 209-736-7877

Opportunities Slipping Away
It sure looked like the Wild would go up 1-0 in this series until multiple mistakes by some of the usual suspects literally made this golden opportunity slip away. Game 2 was nothing special, especially when Varlamov stopped virtually everything the Wild threw at him. Does this team still have a chance, sure, but the window for this season is closing fast!

Are We Ready?
The Minnesota Wild surged this past week, easily clinching the 7th seed in the west, and will now match up with the tough Colorado Avalanche, due to a last second collapse by the St. Louis Blues. After winning four games in a row against very quality teams, a 7-3 demolishing at the hands of the Nashville Predators has your host worried! Taking Control Of Their Destiny
The Minnesota Wild took control of their destiny, with a very strong week, going 2-0-1 against some of the best teams in the NHL! The sad part is, the most shorthanded of the three was the one to give the Wild a shootout loss in Chicago. Strong play in L.A, and crushing Pittsburgh in Xcel, gave this club a much needed push to now likely make the playoffs.

Very Unpredictable
The Minnesota Wild are all over the place, it's been hard to say who will be starting in goal, (until now), who will be on what line, and will the Wild even show up to play? The final stretch for the postseason will be a very tough one, as your host expresses his fears, particularly this upcoming week against three powerhouses! Paladino Joey as usual gives out his weekly awards/demerits, and this week's North Stars memory! Getting Shot Down
Joey is back after missing last week. The Wild started March with a win in Calgary, only to lose every game since, with the exception of a quiet 2-1 win over the NY Rangers in Xcel. Darcy Kuemper has lost his shootout mystique to say the least, getting beat on nearly every shot of late. The Wild made a trade for multi 30 goal scorer Matt Moulson, but the offense looks completely unchanged, conveniently when Mikko Koivu returns. Kuemper Doesn't Lose A Step!
Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper made more believers this past week, when he didn't lose a step, after the three week break. The suddenly apparent goalie of the future gave up a mere goal in a back to back in Edmonton and Vancouver, and was perfect against 7 Canucks' shoot out attempts, leading the Wild to victory. Mikael Granlund also has become a legit star player, coming off an amazing Olympic performance, and bringing it right back here! "Like" Brave The Wild on Facebook Follow us on Twitter: @bravethewild

Getting It Done
In the two games before the Olympic break, the Wild simply got the job done, with two close, but clutch wins against Tampa Bay and Nashville. Joey expresses his amazement at just how tough the Central Division truly is, as the Wild STILL trail third place Colorado by 10 points. Joey has a slightly different type of North Stars memory this time around, and sends off our boys to what we hope will be their first gold medal since that wonder time 34 years ago. Three Stars, Two Goats
An amazing win by the Wild in Anaheim was spoiled by a couple of messy losses in Colorado and Calgary. The highlight of the week for the Wild, was what has become the true number one line, with Granlund centering Pominville and Parise, who lead the way for Minnesota the entire week. Any thought of breaking up this new first line would be a colossal mistake, Koivu's return must NOT interfere with what could make this team a long-term contender! "Like" Brave The Wild on Facebook! Good Signs, Bad Habits
The Minnesota Wild had what you would call an okay week, escaping a tough three game stretch with half the points available. The alarming trend is for the second week in a row, the Wild showed very bad habits, and came out flat as a pancake in Dallas. The good signs included a very solid win at home vs the elite Blackhawks, surviving a furious peppering at the end, and holding on to a 2-1 win. The Wild managing to get a point in San Jose was a good thing, but blowing a 2-0 lead in 43 seconds was a bit damning. Joey is sure to get to another North Stars memory that again is related to something going on in the NHL today. Other encouraging signs include a couple of important prospects are showing signs of improvement in Iowa! Unsung Heroes
After a lackadaisical start to the week in a 3-0 home loss vs the Ottawa Senators, the Wild were lead by some of the most unlikely of sources in the next two games, especially against Dallas! Joey flies solo yet again in this one, and he resurrects the North Stars memory segment, which he plans to make a regular bit again. This North Stars trip down memory lane comes at the most appropriate time, regarding what took place this week in the NHL! Strange And Wonderful
Strange and Wonderful things have been happening with the Minnesota Wild, despite injuries, and sickness taking their toll on some of the vital pieces of this club. The Wild finally win in LA, in the most unexpected fashion, followed by a very impressive win in Phoenix, only to lose at home again to Colorado, but that didn't derail the guys from stomping Nashville! Yeo Hanging By A Thread
There is a Mike Yeo job watch in effect, despite a couple of solid wins against the hapless Buffalo Sabres, and decent Washington Capitals. The words of the Wild coach following a New Years Eve loss to the St. Louis Blues said a lot, by saying he no longer talks to the players after a loss. With a very vital schedule coming up this week against all Western Conference teams, the pressure is on to win more than one of the next four.

Yeo's Messages Are No Longer Heard
After an 0-5 stretch since episode 72, against inferior Eastern Conference teams (with the exception of the Penguins), your host Joey Awaijane has had enough of Wild Coach Mike Yeo. There clearly has been a pattern every single year, where the Wild start strong, and then totally tail spin with virtually unexplainable losses to teams they have no business losing to. California Horrors, Followed By Sweet Revenge!
Paladino Joey rides solo again, and discusses a 2-2 week against some very powerful teams in the Western Conference. As predicted, the Wild lose both games in California, but have a much better shootout result in Colorado than last time. The Wild than host the red hot Vancouver Cannucks, and are clutch down the stretch, as Pominville saves the day in yet another shootout. Joey talks about how important these wins are, and feels good about the Wild's chances out East this coming week! "Like" The Brave The Wild Facebook page! Big Losses And Big Wins!
Paladino Joey rides solo, as he reviews a very up and down emotional week and change for the Wild. Joey expresses his immense frustration with losing BOTH games in a Colorado home and home, and of course a thrashing at the hands of the below average Columbus Blue Jackets. With all of that said, the Wild beat the Blackhawks in what was the most entertaining game of the year thus far, as well as smothered the Flyers and Sharks! Hurting And Struggling
Joey and Neil are back after missing last week, to review a tough week for the Wild. Not only have the injuries been mounting to key players, but the overall play of the team has been on the decline the past week or so, we've been here before after strong starts, is it happening all over again? We truly hope not! "Like" Brave The Wild on Facebook! Follow us on Twitter: @bravethewild Call into our Phone Lines at: 209-736-7877

The Shootout Show
Joey and Neil review three consecutive shootouts for the Minnesota Wild, in the first, a win was swiped away by the Washington Capitals with three minutes remaining, but later, the Wild take one from Carolina, and barely get revenge on the Toronto Maple leafs with a second straight shoot out win! Full Strength!
The Minnesota Wild are literally back at full strength, and it showed during the 3-0 display this past week since the last show! Paladino Joey and Neil "Natedogg" Thesing glow with positivity in this one, because there was very little to complain about of late, as nearly the entire team is playing well, and contributing consistently!

Building Chemistry
A very strong week by the Wild, unfortunately leads to a rude awakening to start the next week, as they see a three game win streak end at the hands of the talented and hated Chicago Blackhawks. Joey and Neil are forced to record two days later than normal, due to the Vikings game being on Sunday night, so we had to include the second of two Blackhawks games, turning a 3-0 review into a 3-1. Falling out of Sync
Neil "Natedogg" Thesing is back with your host Paladino Joey, to talk about a week that started strong, and finished very poorly for our Minnesota Wild. NBCSP anchors Pierre McGuire and Jeremy Roenick were talking very highly of what looked like a well oiled Wild offense, which ended the week looking a lot more an old broken down car. Puck Possession!
The Minnesota Wild finally started to win this week, as your host went 3-0 in his predictions from the last episode! Coach Mike Yeo had his team focus on puck possession, and to be honest, it worked in a big way, as the Wild dominated the puck, and came away with two encouraging victories at home!
