Card Carrying .500 Club Members!
The Wild go 1-1 this past week, and will end up .500 for the month of February as they lose AT HOME to the Atlanta Thrashers. The good news however, is that the Wild have somehow figured out Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks in a big way of late. We also get into Pierre Marc-Bouchard and his long recovery from concussion junction.

Leddy, Johnsson to BlackHawks for Cam Barker
We thought this was going to be a short show, with a few news nuggets, and only two games to talk about. Instead, while preparing for this episode, hot off the wire, new brakes that the Wild have traded top prospect Nick Leddy and overpaid Kim Johnsson for defenseman Cam Barker (23). We still keep the previous topics in the show as well. Call into our Phone Lines at 209-736-7877.

Musical Goalie Chairs Gets Crazier
With Backstrom sick, Harding's sore hip goes from hurt to injured, leaving the Wild to their third and fourth options in net. Anton Kudobin, the fourth option looks better then Wade Dubielewicz (third option).

3-0 Week, Harding Vindicated
Joey discusses what a difference a week can make, the Wild goaltending suddenly is great, the local club suddenly is scoring early (accept for the Colorado game), and Josh Harding wins in a 1-0 game! Goal support, smothering defense, and jumping out early prove what the Wild can be, even without a great roster, just wait until they have one!

Tempt Not Thy Fates!
The third period has been the Wild's calling card, the problem is, the local club continues to fall behind by significant margins going into that third period. The Wild has become dependent on comebacks, rather then starting out strong, and its been their Achilles heal most of the year. We also get into Burns' return and Sykora's impending departure. Smothering Defense, Timely Offense Has Wild Red...
The Wild are the hottest team in the NHL in their last 10 games, tied with Boston at 8-1-1. The newcomers' magic has cooled some, while the established vets have taken back over, along with some of the disappointing players finally stepping up.

Newcomers Add Spark!
As the Wild went 3-0-0 in the last week, we talk about the key play of the team's newcomers. Guillame Latendress, Chuck Kobasew, and Andrew Ebbet have lead the Wild to three straight wins, bringing the team to one game under .500.

Concussion Junction With No Function
The Wild trade Benoit Pouliott for Latendresse Guillaume, and acquire Andrew Ebbet via waivers, but the "excitement" doesn't end there! The Wild have become the Concussion Junction, with Bouchard missing all but one game with his head injury, Brent Burns with his second one in 6 months, and Petr Sykora also incurring one.

Home Ice Advantage
At home, the Wild have lost only one game, while on the road, they've WON one game... go figure. That's classic Wild in terms of seesaw performances, but the final game reviewed in this episode was clearly the most impressive.

Koivu Finally Named Real Captain
The Wild continue to stink, at 1-6-0, but at least they finally have a real permanent captain to call their own. Virtually everyone knew that Koivu was the man for the job, but apparently Todd Richards wanted to wait it out. The Wild's play thus far reeks of a long year.
