Two Hours of Sachin and Azhar in Cape Town with...

This episode we look at a Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Azharuddin moment in Cape Town. It was a short, brilliant partnership that inspired a book, so I got on one of the authors, Abhishek Mukherjee to take me through it. We talk about Azharuddin the batter, fast bowling and India, how cricket history is hard, where Sachin was at this point in his career, South Africa's relationship with India and how Nelson Mandela watched - and may have inspired - the partnership.

-

To support the podcast please go to our Patreon page. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32090121.

If you like this podcast, you may enjoy other things I create, check them all out at https://linktr.ee/jarrodkimber.

You can find Abhishek Mukherjee on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ovshake42 , and his co-writer is Arunabha Sengupta, he’s at https://twitter.com/senantix.

Go buy the book: [Sachin and Azhar at Cape Town: Indian and South African Cricket Through the Prism of a Partnership] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sachin-Azhar-Cape-Town-Partnership/dp/1785318195/

This podcast is edited, mixed and produced by Nick McCorriston, he's at https://www.nickamc.com and https://www.twitter.com/nickamc.

The theme tune is by Red Crickets https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Red_Crickets/Red_Crickets.

The Evolution of New Zealand with Peter McGlashan

This episode we look at New Zealand’s rise and the many things they got right along the way. Trash Cans and Sandpaper with Ben Reiter

This episode is talking about two of the world’s biggest cheating scandals of modern times; the Houston Astros and the Australian cricket team. Colin Ingram: Farming The Strike

This episode we have one of my favourite T20 players in the world to talk about his career so far. Colin Ingram has not had a straightforward career, at 23, he was without a pro contract and was thinking of going back to school to finish studying agriculture. But he stuck with cricket, and that seems to have gone pretty well. We chat about his ODI career, not seeing balls from really good bowlers, his premeditation, love of county cricket, being a Kolpak, and how he turned himself from a nurdler to one of the best T20 batsmen in the world.

-

To support the podcast please go to our Patreon page. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32090121.

If you like this podcast, you may like the YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/jarrodkimberyt.

You can find Colin Ingram on Twitter at https://twitter.com/caingram41.

This podcast is edited, mixed and produced by Nick McCorriston, he's at https://www.nickamc.com and https://www.twitter.com/nickamc.

The theme tune is by Red Crickets: https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Red_Crickets/Red_Crickets.

Steve Harmison: Fast Bowling Freaks

This episode we talk about fast bowling and accuracy, and how we see a lot more of both now. So I thought Steve Harmison might be able to help us with that. Fast bowlers have become more accurate and faster. We have 90 mile an hour bowlers with knuckle balls and wobble seams now. So this episode we talk bio mechanics, actions, preparation short versus tall, white balls and we skip bowling to second slip.

-

To support the podcast please go to our Patreon page. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32090121.

If you like this podcast, you may like the YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/jarrodkimberyt.

You can find Steve Harmison on Twitter at https://twitter.com/harmy611.

This podcast is edited, mixed and produced by Nick McCorriston, he's at https://www.nickamc.com and https://www.twitter.com/nickamc.

The theme tune is by Red Crickets https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Red_Crickets/Red_Crickets.

All The Single Ladies with Karunya Keshav

This episode of Red Inker we look at the difficulties faced by Indian women cricketers. We discuss players choosing marriage over a career, players choosing a career over marriage, and the few who have tried both. But cricket podcast emperor Subash has heard me talk about it, and so he thought it would make a good podcast. We talk about watching Michael Jordan, the price of Hockey tickets, a baseball fight, a pub called Belushi’s, a greyhound toilet, Andy Bichel, stealing from Andrew Symonds, spitting, John Davison, and the time I woke up Adam Gilchrist on a plane.

-

To support the podcast please go to our Patreon page. https://www.patreon.com/user?u=32090121.

If you like this podcast, you may like the YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/jarrodkimberyt.

You can find Subash Jayaraman on Twitter at https://www.twitter.com/cricketcouch.

This podcast is edited, mixed and produced by Nick McCorriston, he's at https://www.nickamc.com and https://www.twitter.com/nickamc.

The theme tune is by Red Crickets https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Red_Crickets/Red_Crickets.

How To Select A Cricket Team with Mohammad Khan

Umpires Call with Kartikeya Date

DRS has changed how umpires make decisions, how TV companies look at the game and how batsmen bat. But there is still so much about the system that even the commentators themselves don’t seem to understand. One of the best writers on this is Kartikeya Date who has spent years trying to get to the bottom of how the ball tracking companies have worked out LBWs.
