The stove is HOT my friends. Jacob deGrom signed with the Texas Rangers Friday night and JUSTIN VERLANDER signed with the Mets on Monday.

Another wild one. Technical difficulties, no news, travelling, you get it all here. And baseball, always some baseball. Some Jacob deGrom rumors came through, Mike Clevinger and José Abreu signed deals that can tell us something about the market, and the Mets had a preliminary meeting with Carlos Rodón. Eric Chavez was also bumped to bench coach with Jeremy Barnes moving up to hitting coach which is some fun Mets news.

All over the place here. We talk pitching rumors (Verlander and Jameson Taillon), non-tendered players we like, and say bye to Dom Smith.

Funky episode. Some Mets round-up as Buck Showlater won Manager of the Year, Francisco Lindor won Marvin Miller Man of the Year, and we picked up the option on Carlos Carrasco. We celebrate Showalter and Lindor while examining the decision between Carrasco's option and Taijuan Walker's potential qualifying offer.

Off-Season starts now, baby. Edwin Díaz is back with the Mets and we celebrate the move. Also, the Mets made a big move hiring former Reds and Driveline coach Eric Jagers.

Finally, some Mets talk on this episode! Jeff McNeil, Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and Starling Marte were all nominated for Silver Slugger awards and Buck Showalter for Manager of the Year. This once a week thing is weird. Lots of playoffs happened and we talk about the Yankees, Astros, Phillies, Padres, and even the Braves a little bit before dropping some World Series predictions (Go 'Stros). Then, we get back to the Mets and talk about Tomás Nido's Gold Glove nomination along with Francisco Lindor, Jeff McNeil, and Luis Guillorme's snubs for the award PLUS a little interaction between Marc and Juan Soto. Some odds and ends after: quick Fall League tidbit, Luis Rojas, Shohei Ohtani, Ronny Mauricio.

The boys are back after a week off of mostly sulking and sleeping. We run around the league catching up on the death of the Braves and Dodgers, finally reflect on the divisional race that wound up killing both teams and give our takes on the playoff format that has so many folks riled up. Then some Mets talk because this is a Mets show. Glad to be back.

Bad day, sad day. The Padres crushed us and now our backs are against the wall. Max Scherzer wasn't himself and we let Yu Darvish off the hook early. We got a little upset but hey, Jacob deGrom today let's get a win.

Playoffs baby. It's not where we wanted to be in the short term but exactly where we wanted to be when we started this insane season.

We hung out with Matt Vasgersian at MLB Network and talked about everything from the Mets, Angels, MLB The Show, the XFL, and a wild story with Lawrence Taylor.

The Mets exorcised last weekend's demons by thoroughly destroying the Nationals to end their regular season on a high note. Francisco Álvarez hit his 1st career HR, Jeff McNeil won the batting title, Lindor had some knocks, Nimmo wrapped up a sensational season, everyone got in on the action against Washington

Not much else to say here. The Braves were better than us and showed it on the field. We talked about the series and how it fits into our season in general. Moaning, groaning, some positivity, lots of venting, it's exactly what you need on this somber day. James also got back into the Esti-Met and we discuss possible fall-out/tie-breaker.
