Padres officially have given up | 465
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres weekend series in Houston against the Astros. Blake Snell, who reportedly could command $200 million in free agency, pitched another quality start on Friday night and was backed up by a great offense. Too bad they haven't been able to do it consistently enough in 2023. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

The San Diego Padres were three games under .500 at the trade deadline and entering Friday's series against the Houston Astros, they are nine games under. So clearly in hindsight adding pieces at the deadline wasn't the right thing to do but what if they got a redo at the deadline? Would have A.J. Preller sold instead of trying to make a losing team a little bit better? Plus, there's a report out saying San Diego had interest in Tommy Pham.

Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Fernando Tatis Jr. showed up big time on his bobblehead night and Pedro Avila had a strong start in front of a sellout crowd. The Padres got dominated by Zack Wheeler on Wednesday. Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres weekend series against the San Francisco Giants. Juan Soto helped spark the offense on Friday and Saturday, as he homered in both games. Blake Snell continued to pitch like an NL Cy Young award winner, as he shutout SF in 6 innings of work over the weekend. Plus, there was a report about why Austin Nola has been struggling this season. Bob Nightengale also had some reporting on Snell's interest in returning to San Diego in the winter and a star outfielder the Padres are expected to be interested in this offseason. Padres walked off by Cardinals TWICE + fake cha...
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres final two games in St. Louis against the Cardinals. They had multiple leads on Tuesday night but ended up losing for the 11th time in extra innings. Why are they so bad in extras this year? Then Josh Hader was in line for the save in the series finale but another kick in the nuts came San Diego's way. Plus, Yu Darvish isn't with the team, as he traveled to meet with the doctor that did his 2015 Tommy John surgery. Concerning? And it appears there has been a fake charity bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars working concession stands at Padres games.

Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres getting swept by the Milwaukee Brewers. Xander Bogaerts and Juan Soto homered on Saturday but it wasn't enough in the Friars' 20th one-run loss this season. It looked like San Diego was playing in a Little League game on Sunday. Also, Jake Cronenworth landed on the injured list with a fractured wrist so what's next for him? Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Should Padres fire A.J. Preller like White Sox ...
The Chicago White Sox did something this week that they should've already done and that was relieve president Ken Williams and general manager Rick Hahn of their duties. It was years of underperforming and the roster never reached its potential. Should the San Diego Padres follow in Chicago's footsteps and let go of A.J. Preller? Plus, Shohei Ohtani has torn his UCL so there's going to be some uncertainty about his future as a two-way player. Will the Padres be able to get him on a discount? Near the end of the show, Ben gives his reaction to this being San Diego Loyal's final season.

Would Flaherty actually help change things?

Padres waste opportunity vs. Diamondbacks | 444
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team meeting on Wednesday must have worked because the offense scored ten runs on Friday night with Xander Bogaerts leading the way. However as they've done numerous times this season, the offense failed to score the day after. The Padres had an early lead but couldn't hold it in the series finale.
