12 Weird Things That Have Washed Ashore
What was the weirdest thing you've ever found on the beach? It turns out, you could have run into an 8-feet Lego man if you had been on the beach in the Netherlands or England several years ago. It was a performance by a Dutch guerrilla artist who wanted to "bring some kindness into everyday life." If we consider the ocean's size, we can expect something strange now and then to pop up. And some things could be of good value - so prepare to book a trip to the seaside if you want to find them!

There's one object we all use every day, and you probably won't believe there are some alternative ways to use it. But some people on social media claim we’ve been using our toilets all wrong! Rather than sitting in it like a chair, we should be facing backward instead. It makes the structure and shape much more logical, giving the toilet different uses. Now you can use the toilet tank as a makeshift desk. 7 Unexplained Parallel Universe Stories
In July 1954, a man arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, by a plane flying over from Europe. The man’s passport did look authentic, but the problem was it claimed he came from a country no one had ever heard of: Taured. He even pointed to its location on the map: a small territory located between Spain and France. His passport also had stamps from many airports around the world, including previous visits to Tokyo. So, did the officers let him cross the border?

7 Cool Ancient Animals That Will Amaze You
Some animals look so similar, like zebras, horses, and camels, for instance, they make us think they have a common ancestor. The way evolution works in nature is way more complex. Take, for instance, convergent evolution, which is when different creatures evolve independently from each other but end up having similar traits. At a first glance, sharks and dolphins look very similar: aquatic creatures, with some species having roughly the same size. But turns out they are mostly unrelated. Does evolution ever reverse itself? Regressive evolution means that animals or organisms lose some of the complexity they had in the past. There's one specific group of animals that really dived into reverse evolution: whales, dolphins, seals, and sea turtles. They've really changed a lot over the last 350 million years, moving from sea to dry land and back to sea! #brightside Credit: NASA/Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, Lyndon B. What a 5200-year-old Tattoed Mummy Tells Us
Throughout history, humans have used tattoos to protect themselves against sorcery, claim membership in groups, declare their love, honor their loved ones, or simply express themselves. Tattoos date back thousands of years. Ötzi the Iceman is the 5200-year-old mummy who was found embedded in glacial ice in 1991 in the Ötztal Alps. He had sixty-one markings across his body that are considered to be tattooed by the experts. Other mummies with tattoos have been recovered from at least 49 archaeological sites, including locations in Greenland, Alaska, and the Philippines, which only suggests that tattoos were a worldwide thing. #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com Check our Bright Side podcast on Spotify and leave a positive review! https://open.spotify.com/show/0hUkPxD... Bruge's medieval streets are dreamy to explore, and its delightful cobbled streets give way to cafe-lined squares and meandering canals. 8 Most Expensive Engineering Mistakes
When you're building a house, a bridge, or some other impressive construction, some serious planning must be done, and every detail matters. The construction of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington was finished 1940, a twin suspension bridge was unique and one-of-the-kind construction never seen before. In today’s equivalent, it cost about 1 billion bucks. Still, despite the amount of money spent, the bridge lasted slightly over 4 months. The engineers apparently missed one highly important issue - the wind. Guide how to survive in the bermuda triaangle
Shop our unique MERCH store for your Bright style (open globally!): http://bit.ly/2OJubyA Why do ships and planes vanish without a trace in the Bermuda Triangle? If you draw up a map, trace a line connecting the island of Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Miami, and back to Bermuda, what do you get? Yes, it’s a triangle – a sinister polygon known for mysteriously swallowing over 2,000 ships and 200 aircraft over centuries! And here's a story about the Bermuda Triangle you probably didn’t hear about. So, the airplane involved was a Beechcraft Bonanza single-engine aircraft. Onboard, pilot Bruce Gernon had two passengers: his father and business partner. They took off from Andros Island in the Bahamas and headed northwest for the Florida coast. It was December 4, 1970. This was a typical flight Bruce had made dozens of times before! But this time would be different. They would face really unexplainable and maybe even mysterious things… See the video transcription here: https://brightside.me/wonder-curiosit... #brightside Preview photo credit: Lancaster, USA - March 24, 2018, Beechcraft F33C Bonanza on display during Los Angeles County Air Show at William J. Dark True Story Of The Peaky Blinders Gang
The Peaky Blinders were known to wear fitted jackets, lapeled overcoats, and peaked newsboy caps. You might have heard of them because of the famous TV show, but it’s not all fiction. The Peaky Blinders – and other gangs like it - came to be because of the poor living conditions and economic challenges of industrial England in the late 19th century. By the end of the 1800s, this gang included people of a variety of ages, from as young as twelve, up to the age of thirty. They were active in Birmingham until about 1910 when they were taken over by a larger gang, called The Birmingham Boys. f you're looking for a natural and affordable solution to keep your toilet odor-free, garlic can help! Freshly crushed garlic cloves contain a variety of antimicrobial properties. Allicin in it reduces the build-up of bacteria and fungi. Hair, grease, and grime build up over time and eventually clog the drains, removing the blockage is easy with salt and vinegar. Scorched pans tend to use a lot of elbow grease, but they can be cleaned a lot easier with the right ingredients.

Recent findings reveal the truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. Scientists have debunked the theory that the cause of the Titanic sinking was an iceberg. Why did Titanic sink? What's the real cause of the Titanic crash? HOW TITANIC SANK On April 14th, 1912 at 11:40 p.m. RMS Titanic had a terrible accident that led to its ultimate demise 3 hours later. By 2:20 a.m. in the early morning of April 15th, the biggest ship of its time had completely disappeared under the ice-cold surface of the Atlantic Ocean. The Titanic took more than 1,500 lives with it as it sank to its watery grave. TITANIC MYSTERY The cause of this horrible disaster leading to so many deaths was an iceberg the ship crashed into. Or so we’ve always been told... But scientists’ most recent findings have debunked this theory. In this video, we’ll tell you the whole truth that has been buried for over one hundred years. TIMESTAMPS How Titanic sank 0:08 How Titanic was made 1:00 The real cause of the catastrophe 3:04 The interior of the Titanic 5:10 Another tragic coincidence 6:20 Another criminal negligence: the lifeboats 7:23 Some people also blame Captain Smith 8:25 HOW TITANIC WAS MADE The Titanic had 4 massive smokestacks. Each of them weighed 60 tons, and they extended 81.5 feet above the deck. Such an impressive height was necessary to avoid covering the passengers in 100 tons of soot blown off daily. The smokestacks were placed at a 30° angle to look even more astonishing and imposing. No less awe-inspiring was the cost of the ship. Its construction demanded $7,500,000. If we take into account modern exchange rates and inflation, in 2016 they would be paying $166,000,000. Surprisingly, it would turn out cheaper than the production of the world-famous movie Titanic in 1997, which cost $200,000,000! Criminal negligence, tragic and unfortunate chain of coincidences, fire or ice: whatever it was, it took the lives of hundreds of people and still keeps the minds of scientists busy to this day.
