The 2022 Tickford Racing lineup is slowly coming into place with the news that James Courtney will be staying at the Campbellfield squad on a multi year deal. We spoke to the 2010 Supercars Champion about the Gen3 delay, we get his brutal self assessment of his second season in the Boost Mobile Mustang, and what it might be like being the cagey veteran of the team next year.

As we count down to the return of racing with the resumption of the season at Sydney Motorsport Park in a few weeks time, Supercars dropped a bombshell announcement that fans probably saw coming, with the Gen3 rollout being pushed back once again to the start of 2023. Plus as pieces of the silly season fall into place we spoke to former series Champion James Courtney about his newly announced deal to stay at Tickford Racing and we analyse how the grid is taking shape for next year.

The Davison Brothers are back to conquer the mountain once again, and we spoke to Will Davison to get his thoughts on teaming up with his brother Alex once again at Bathurst - and we even had a Jim Beam Racing reunion with the legendary Dick Johnson jumping in the studio with us as well!

There was a massive bombshell to start the week off with news that Andre Heimgartner would be leaving Kelly Grove Racing at the end of the season, which meant speculation is rife over who goes where on the grid in 2022. Plus with border closures and COVID outbreaks playing havoc across Victoria and New South Wales and both the Supercars Championship and TCR Australia Series on hold, there is chatter there will be a Mount Panorama Supercard coming at the end of the year with the Bathurst 1000 and the Bathurst International heavily rumoured to join forces!

If you asked most people, we were 99% certain that the man to take over from Jamie Whincup when he retires in 2022 would be Broc Feeney. This week that 1% of doubt was snuffed out when it was confirmed that the 2019 Super3 Champion, and current Super2 Championship leader would make his main game debut for Red Bull Ampol Racing.

Despite a big gap before our next round, there was plenty going on in the world of motorsport this week! It's looking more likely that the travelling roadshow will have to return and Victorian teams will have to repeat their 2020 efforts to keep this years Championship alive. We look at all the options on the table to keep the season going, plus we recap a farcical Belgian Formula One Grand Prix, and the man of the moment Broc Feeney joins us to talk about the revelation that he'll be stepping into the seat that Jamie Whincup will vacate in 2022.
