I Wish I Could Be Just Like My Mom | Happy Moth...
Happy Mother's Day Mom. I wish that I could be just like you. Today's episode is dedicated to my mom, here are four things that I’ve learned and I share this with my mom every day. It’s something that all parents want to hear. It’s helped my relationship with my mom. I tell my mom every day, a minimum of a minute, number one, I’m healthy. Number two, I’m happy. Three, I love her. Four, I appreciate her, meaning she adds value to my life. If you tell your parents no matter what age they are that you’re healthy, happy, appreciate them and love them, there’s nothing else they care about. They may give you a hard time about little stuff but in the end, you will solidify your connection to the most important people in your life which is your parents, and give them the gratitude and appreciation for you that you have for them.

Get Your Mind Right | Road to Revenue #57
A leader’s mindset is derived from his or her thought processes, whether that comes from his or her conscious, subconscious, or unconscious mind. In order to get your mind right, one must evaluate the value that their thoughts, both new and repetitive, bring to their conscious and subconscious mind. Are your thoughts providing you the necessary confidence or value? Or are you wasting time and energy on those thoughts needlessly? If the new or repetitive thoughts are not valuable, then cut them! There are all sorts of pressures that we experience (or create for ourselves) when we are making a tough call, but with the right mindset, we can avoid common pitfalls, such as negative self- talk or decision fatigue. THE CONSCIOUS, SUBCONSCIOUS, & UNCONSCIOUS:Our conscious mind evaluates what people think, what people say, and what people do. It takes time to get the conscious alignment necessary to make a decision. The subconscious mind deals with the countless things that we believe. Our unconscious competencies are tasks, abilities, or decisions you are able to execute successfully without thinking. (i.e. breathing or public speaking). Lastly, having a positive mindset is a major asset at work and at home. In order to attain this mindset, we must build and train our minds with a simple philosophy of, “cancel, clear and connect.” When you think of conscious thoughts that are negative, “cancel” them. When you recognize the subconscious thoughts that are attracting the conscious thoughts, “clear” our whole mind. When things do not leave us and they sit within our unconscious, we must utilize a mechanism to “connect” to what inspires us. Make them see the win-win situation. 4. Manage and Develop the Vision: Manage and develop a vision by providing the value that you promised. 2 Ways to Attract More Clients
There are two simple ways to get what you want in life or business: 1. You can ask for it. 2. You can attract it. ASK: A piece of information or content with a specifically designed “ask” built in for the target market that will inspire them to take action. Ask people for help or ask people if they know somebody who can help. When you ask people if they know somebody that can help, you have exponentially more success, because everyone has hundreds of connections to other people on average. ATTRACT: A piece of information or content with no clear ask but that instead has the goal of drawing the target audience’s attention to a brand or inspires them to take some action, whether defined or undefined. An attract’s result comes when you are focused and put both your attention and intention on what you want in life, whether personally or professionally. Becoming a Ferocious Buddha | Road to Revenue #56
Step 1: Identify when you’re in ego-based consciousness This step requires becoming cognizant of your ego and your feelings involving the current situation. By this, I mean stepping back from the situation to understand how and why you feel this way. For example, every morning I get up at 4:30 am to meditate and workout. On a Saturday, a few months back, I woke up and noticed one of my daughter’s cars was not parked out front. I was upset, and my initial response was to call her and yell at her. But in that moment, I stopped and realized I was acting out of my ego-based consciousness. I wasn’t angry, I was actually just terrified that something may have happened to her. By coming to this realization, I was able to move to step two and figure out how I was going to effectively communicate with her. Step 2: Be ferocious and get yourself to STOP Once you have figured out why you feel a certain way, stop in your tracks and take a deep breath. Taking a moment for yourself allows you to come back to center before you act. In my daughter’s case, I took a few moments to myself and decided to call her. By taking these few moments to breathe, I was able to call her in a calm, concerned tone rather than out of anger. Due to this action, my daughter and I had an effective conversation where I learned that she was in her room and had Uber-ed home after a party she attended last night. If I had yelled at her, she probably would have yelled at me back and we would have had a completely different conversation that could lead to her making different and potentially less-safe choices in the future. Following these steps will help you become a ferocious buddha enabling you to communicate more efficiently, rather than letting your ego corrode the connection to others. Practice these steps, to become a ferocious buddha that I know we’re all capable of! Remember, the secession of success comes from being an efficient communicator.
