Episode 195 "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park...
This week Tom & Zeus finally meet the Phantom, the Phantom of the Park that is. Yes, Tom & Zeus do a live commentary of the cult KISS classic, "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park!" The 1978 television movie, KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and starred KISS at the height of their popularity. The movie didn't turn out to be quite the movie the band had hope for, but is now considered legendary. The Loudcasters community has been waiting and requesting a breakdown of this movie by Tom & Zeus for years. What better way to review the movie, but with a live commentary. As expected, the guys do not hold back. This is everything you can imagine it to be and more. Tune in this Halloween and start a new tradition by listening to SIOL & "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park!" Oh one of us is an attorney and recommends that we state that technically we are reviewing "Attack Of The Phantoms," because its more accessible than "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park," since Attack is on KISSOLOGY Volume Two. Album Review Crew Episode 35 "Moving Pictures"
On the 35th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the eighth album by the legendary band, Rush, "Moving Pictures." This is the biggest selling album from Rush and has sold over 5 million copies in the United States alone. Rush is known for its incredible musicianship with Geddy Lee on vocals and bass, Alex Lifeson on guitar and perhaps the greatest rock drummer of all time, Neil Peart. Moving Pictures continued Rush's progressive sound but in a more commercial and radio friendly manner with songs like "Tom Sawyer," "Red Barchetta," "Limelight" and more. Moving Pictures has become a staple on classic rock stations and many of the songs were part of Rush's live shows. The album was produced by Rush and their long time collaborator, Terry Brown. The album cover has become iconic over the years as well. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 33 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was our 3rd Patreon pick. The members of Shout It Out Loudcast's Patreon group overwhelmingly selected Moving Pictures. SIOL & ARC listeners know Tom loves Rush. They also know that Zeus & Sonny are NOT what you would call Rush fans. Did anyone's mind change? This week Tom & Zeus break down the KISS Destroyer 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set, Disc 2, "Destroyer-Era Demos." The KISS album Destroyer was released in 1976 and is considered to be one of KISS' most legendary albums. For it's 45th anniversary, Destroyer became the first KISS album to be given the Super Deluxe Box Set treatment. Disc 2 of the Destroyer Box set is filled with 15 demos, most of them unreleased. The songs capture the early sound of KISS, pre-Bob Ezrin. Most of the songs went on to become songs or lyrics of future songs that ended up on KISS albums, Destroyer, Rock & Roll Over and Gene Simmons' solo album in 1978. The guys breakdown the tracks SIOL style and then rank the songs like SIOL KISS album reviews. It ain't the smoke that burns ya! Album Review Crew Episode 34 "Automatic For The...
On the 34 Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review the highly acclaimed eighth studio album by R.E.M., "Automatic For The People." The album went to Number 2 on the Billboard charts, went 4 X platinum and sold over 18 Million copies worldwide. R.E.M. known for college music had just exploded with their last album "Out Of Time" with the help of the single, "Losing My Religion." They decided to make this new album to sound like nothing else contemporary and filled with non-R.E.M.-type songs. The result was this masterpiece filled with songs about, loss, death, mortality, transition and more. The album was a group effort with guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills and drummer Bill Berry using all sorts of instruments and sounds to make the music while songwriter and vocalist extraordinaire, Michael Stipe provided the moving vocals and lyrics to this essential album of the 1990's. Considered by many as perhaps R.E.M.'s best album, the album contains many of R.E.M.'s best songs, like Everybody Hurts, Man On The Moon, Nightswimming and Find The River and more. The album featured six singles and videos, which were played on MTV on heavy rotation. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 32 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Zeus' pick and this album led to the rankings changing a lot by all three ARC members. Album Review Crew Episode 33 "Black Tiger"
On the 33rd Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & Sonny review "Black Tiger" from “One of the hardest working blue-collar touring bands in hard rock history," Y&T. Formed in the early 1970's in California, Y&T is a melodic rock band that is always considered one of the most underrated bands in rock. Led by charismatic singer and lead guitarist, Dave Meniketti, Y&T has always been at the cusp of hitting the big time. Black Tiger is Y&T's 4th studio album. The album was produced by Max Norman of the Ozzy Osbourne, "Blizzard Of Ozz" fame. The album featured melodic hooks, fun lyrics and blistering guitar solos. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 31 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Sonny's pick and he say's that it's HIS way or the highway or no way at all!For all things Shout It Out Loudcast check out our amazing website by clicking below:www.ShoutItOutLoudcast.comInterested in more Shout It Out Loudcast content?  Care to help us out?  Come join us on Patreon by clicking below:SIOL PatreonShop At Our Amazon Store by clicking below:Shout It Out Loudcast Amazon StorePlease go to Klick Tee Shop for all your Shout It Out Loudcast Merchandise by clicking below:SIOL Merchandise at Klick Tee ShopPlease Email us comments or suggestions by clicking below:ShoutItOutLoudcast@Gmail.comPlease subscribe to us and give us a 5 Star (Child) review on the following places below:iTunesPodchaserStitcheriHeart RadioSpotify Please follow us and like our social media pages clicking below:TwitterFacebook PageFacebook Group Page Shout It Out LoudcastersInstagramYouTubeProud Member of the Pantheon Podcast click below to see the website:Pantheon Podcast Network
