Ryan Flaherty could replace Bob Melvin as Padre...
USA Today's Bob Nightengale came out with a long notebook on Sunday and had a couple interesting Padres tidbits in there. He said San Diego is "aggressively trying to sign Juan Soto to a contract extension" and if Bob Melvin takes the fall at the end of the season, offensive coordinator Ryan Flaherty is "a strong candidate" to replace him. Would Flaherty actually help change things?

Padres waste opportunity vs. Diamondbacks | 444
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team meeting on Wednesday must have worked because the offense scored ten runs on Friday night with Xander Bogaerts leading the way. However as they've done numerous times this season, the offense failed to score the day after. The Padres had an early lead but couldn't hold it in the series finale. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Ben Fadden sits down with another Padres season ticket holder, Patrick Dailey, to discuss how the team has failed to meet expectations so far this season, how the Xander Bogaerts contract is looking, what move should be made in the winter if things keep going bad, if the Padres should've increased 2024 season ticket prices when the product on the field isn't in a postseason spot and if he actually wants to see the Padres make the playoffs.

The Padres better start playing like a team | 442
Juan Soto admitted a couple days ago that the San Diego Padres quit against the Seattle Mariners. When that happens, it's apparent that players on the team aren't all bought in and playing together as a team. If they want to be a postseason team, then that has to change now.

Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on Joe Musgrove being shut down three weeks with a shoulder injury and the San Diego Padres first two games of their four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Friday night was a gut punch, as San Diego had a one-run lead with Robert Suarez on the mound going into the 8th before collapsing. But the offense exploded in the 8th on Saturday for an exciting win. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Padres choke leads in Phillies series loss | 428
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Seidler speaks + Padres drop series to Reds | 422
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Cincinnati Reds. There was another team meeting before the series opener on Friday but that didn't work results-wise, as they couldn't hold multiple leads which led to an extra inning loss (stop me if you've heard that before). Manny Machado and Juan Soto had big days on Saturday but that didn't make Ben feel much better about the team. In the series finale, the offense fought back late but didn't do much at the beginning of the game which ended up costing them. Plus, Peter Seidler spoke to Kevin Acee over the weekend and made some puzzling comments about AJ Preller. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!
