Ben Fadden gives you this thoughts on the San Diego Padres series win to the New York Mets. Ha-Seong Kim became the center of attention on Friday night for making a couple of bad decisions. Then Blake Snell and Joe Musgrove took the mound for the Friars in the final two games before the All-Star break. Plus, the Padres selected a talented outfielder with their first round pick in the NLB Draft. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Rather be the Padres or Mets right now? | 424
The San Diego Padres kick off a series against the New York Mets tonight at Petco Park. Going into the season we thought this was going to be a series between two really good teams but that hasn't been the case this year. The Padres are five games under .500 and the Mets also sit in a similar position. Which team has the better shot at making the postseason? Ben Fadden gives his thoughts before previewing the series.

Padres sweep Ohtani & the Angels | 423
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series win against the Los Angeles Angels. The offense showed up big in the first two games of the series with Xander Bogaerts homering in both contests and Jake Cronenworth becoming the first to drive in three runs off Shohei Ohtani in a single game! Nelson Cruz was designated for assignment...should that be a surprise? Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Seidler speaks + Padres drop series to Reds | 422
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Cincinnati Reds. There was another team meeting before the series opener on Friday but that didn't work results-wise, as they couldn't hold multiple leads which led to an extra inning loss (stop me if you've heard that before). Manny Machado and Juan Soto had big days on Saturday but that didn't make Ben feel much better about the team. In the series finale, the offense fought back late but didn't do much at the beginning of the game which ended up costing them. Plus, Peter Seidler spoke to Kevin Acee over the weekend and made some puzzling comments about AJ Preller. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Manny & "embarrassed" Padres swept by Pirates |...
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. After losing two in a row to the Washington Nationals over the weekend, you'd think they would've come out and not looked as flat as they did on Tuesday in game one of the series. Yu Darvish didn't start because he was sick and Steven Wilson was placed on the 15-day IL. Manny Machado said he didn't have time to speak to the media after the 9-4 loss. Although he spoke the following day, was it still a bad look for the guy who's viewed as the captain of the team? Blake Snell put San Diego in position to win on Wednesday but the offense scored just one run. Joe Musgrove was on the mound in the final game of the series. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Is this the low point of the Padres season? } 419
It feels like the low point of the San Diego Padres season came in mid-May when they lost the series against the Kansas City Royals at home but we have a new one now. It was this past weekend against the Washington Nationals. Ben Fadden expands more on why this is the low point of the season and if things can get worse. Then, a preview of the Padres next series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Padres lose series to MacKenzie Gore & the last...
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series disappointing series loss to the Washington Nationals. The offense exploded for the second consecutive game on Friday night but couldn't do it in either of the next two games. MacKenzie Gore dominated a San Diego lineup on Sunday that included Juan Soto, who AJ Preller thought was going to be a huge piece in a future World Series championship roster but they don't look like that type of team right now. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports!

Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the final two games of the San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants series. After a disappointing first two games in the Bay Area, the third one was disappointing for a different reason: the umpires! Should the Padres have actually won Wednesday night's game? Plus, Blake Snell took the mound in the series finale and was given plenty of run support. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports, including which San Diego Wave players will be representing Team USA in the Women's World Cup this summer!

Padres blow first two vs. Giants | 416
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the first two games of the San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants series in the Bay Area. In game one the Padres three best relievers were unavailable and it ended up costing them in the ninth. Who's to blame? Then Seth Lugo made his return from the IL in game two with the team's best relievers coming in behind him. That didn't mean anything though, as the Friars lost in walk-off fashion again. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports, which includes the Mountain West's decision on if they will give San Diego State an extension to figure out if they want to leave the conference or not for the 2024-2025 academic year!

Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series win to the Tampa Bay Rays. Despite having the game-tying run up at the plate on Friday night in the ninth inning, it wasn't a close contest. Blake Snell dominated his former team on Saturday to set up what ended up being a very close rubber match on Sunday. As always near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports which includes San Diego State notifying the Mountain West of their intention to leave the conference!

Tatis shines + Padres can't sweep Guardians | 414
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series win against the Cleveland Guardians. Game 1 on Tuesday was what most Padres games should be looking like. Joe Musgrove had a quality start and the offense gave him more than enough run support. Did it continue the rest of the series? Plus, Fernando Tatis Jr. had himself perhaps the best game of his career on Wednesday night. What's in store for the Padres when the Tampa Bay Rays come to town? Padres should've swept the Rockies | 412
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series (win/loss) to the Colorado Rockies. Game 1 was certainly a Coors Field special, as 15 runs were combined between the two teams. In Game 2, Bob Melvin used six pitchers to get a one-run win--something the Padres have only done four times this season. On Sunday, Blake Snell took the bump and shoved but he may have been taken out too early by Bob Melvin. Manny Machado had himself one heck of a series with the highlight coming on Saturday down the left field line. Plus, is Jake Cronenworth back? Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on a new piece out by Kevin Acee in the San Diego Union-Tribune that reports that the Padres are facing financial challenges. Padres can't win two in a row vs. Mariners | 410
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres quick two-game series against the Seattle Mariners. Joe Musgrove may have only went five innings but he still pitched good enough to set up a win--the problem was the offense didn't come through with a single hit when there was a runner in scoring position. Michael Wacha then took the ball on Wednesday and the offense gave him more than enough run support. Near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports, including the latest soccer match that has been announced which will take place this summer at Snapdragon Stadium! Padres have a winning road trip! | 407
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series win against the Miami Marlins. Blake Snell has been pitching pretty good as of late (6 shutout innings Wednesday). Padres drop 2/3 vs. Yankees | 404
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss in New York against the Yankees. Fernando Tatis Jr. didn't let the Yankees fans get to him on Friday night, as he homered and had a ton of fun in the outfield when the steroid chants came his way. Joe Musgrove pitched like the Joe Musgrove we were used to seeing last year...can it continue? Saturday's loss was a painful one considering how well Michael Wacha and Nick Martinez pitched but Sunday's loss was painful for the opposite reason. And as always near the end of the show, Ben gives you the latest around San Diego sports, including how San Diego State softball did this weekend in their first ever Super Regional appearance! *Apologies for the internet issues...very frustrating*

Rougned Odor becomes a Padres hero! | 403
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres dramatic series win in the nation's capital against the Washington Nationals. Juan Soto had one heck of a return to D.C. on Tuesday night, getting three hits and homering once as well but he and the top of the order couldn't do anything at the plate on Wednesday. The good news is Rougned Odor came in and saved the day in the series finale! Plus, Manny Machado is making progress towards returning from the IL. Padres drop another series...this time to the R...
Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Boston Red Sox. It's the same old story: this offense continues to not come through when runners are in scoring position and now it looks even worse because the starting rotation isn't pitching as good as they were a couple weeks ago (excluding Michael Wacha). Should we still have faith in this team to make the postseason? Plus, as always near the end of the show, Ben talks about the latest around San Diego sports, including how the SDSU softball team, San Diego Wave and San Diego Loyal did over the weekend!
