Remains of a missing North Carolina 4-year-old found behind home. Police hear shots in an apartment complex, find three people dead.

Former Playboy model Kelsey Turner is accused of killing an elderly psychiatrist, who reportedly paid her rent and gave her money. Dr. Thomas Kirk Burchard, 71, a renowned psychiatrist, was found dead in the trunk of Turner’s blue Mercedes Benz. The car had been abandoned on a dirt road, according to police. Two other suspects, identified as Jon Logan Kennison and Diana Nicole Pena are charged. Pena pled guilty. Kennison continues to deny that he or Turner had anything to do with Burchard's death. Arkansas police are searching for a suspected serial killer thought to have carried out four stabbings. Three of the victims died. The attacks occurred between August 2020 and April of this year. In one of the recent attacks, 43-year-old Debra Walker was stabbed 15 times. Walker survived the attack. Police Chief Keith Humphrey said the four victims were chosen at random. The parents of a 10-year-old Arizona girl have been charged with murder after the girl’s remains were found in an attic after a house fire— three years after the girl disappeared. An investigation began when an 11-year-old girl called police and said she’d been left in her Phoenix home alone for two days and was hungry. Authorities said the girl reported that she’d been neglected and abused by her adoptive parents Maribel Loera, 51, and Rafael Loera, 57. She said that Maribel Loera was in Minnesota with two siblings, a 4-year-old boy, and a 9-year-old girl. The girl told investigators that Maribel struck her with knotted extension cords, and officials said she had injuries that were consistent with being struck by a “rope-like object.” She also told officials she had an older sister who vanished in 2017. She said that Maribel told her the girl was adopted and sent to Columbia, but Rafael said she was sent to Mexico. Phoenix police officers who responded to the call said the home was in “disarray” and ahs feces on the floor. An Indiana woman is facing charges after doctors said her young daughter’s lice infection was so critical that the child almost died. Shyanne Nicole Singh, 26, was arrested and charged after her daughter ended up in the hospital, in critical condition. According to an arrest affidavit by the Scottsburg City Police Department, the Indiana Department of Child Services contacted authorities after a 4-year-old child was admitted to the hospital with a "near-fatal" infestation. Hospital staff told investigators that the child could barely walk. A 21-year-old pre-med college student was doused with acid, leaving her blind and disfigured. Nafiah Ikram, 21, was attacked outside of her Long Island, New York, home in March, in an incident that her family members believed had been planned. Security footage caught the act as Ikram stepped out of a car with her mother, just before the attack. While physicians aren’t sure if Ikram will ever fully see again, investigators are trying to determine who would do this to the victim. Ikram said she was likely targeted but has no idea why. Police said the suspect in the New York incident wore a black hooded sweatshirt during the incident and was holding a white cup. A 6-year-old boy is dead after he was shot in an apparent road-rage attack in California. Kindergartener, Aiden Leos, was sitting in a booster seat in the back of the family’s car when another driver cut off Leos’ mother while they were in the carpool lane. She threw the other driver the finger in the rear-view mirror, according to police. As the mother merged into another lane, a passenger believed to have been in that other vehicle fired a gun, striking Leos. The mother pulled over to the side of the road on northbound State Route 55 in Orange, southeast of Los Angeles. She cradled the child as he died in her arms. Investigators are searching for the other vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. It appeared to be a white Volkswagen wagon sedan, and its two occupants, a man, and a woman.
