BONUS: Evidence support for new claims in Moll...
Sentencing for the man convicted of killing University of Iowa student, Mollie Tibbetts, has been delayed amid new information. Judge Joel Yates ordered Cristhian Rivera’s sentencing be delayed after two witnesses told investigators that a different man confessed to the crime. According to Bahena Rivera’s attorneys, an inmate at the county jail said in May that he heard someone identified as “inmate 2” admit that Tibbetts was “bound and gagged in a trap house but that he was directed to kill Tibbetts once the search for her got too close.” Inmate 2 allegedly said he was ordered to stab Tibbetts, who was initially kidnapped for sex trafficking, but killed after the case became too high-profile. Inmate 2 allegedly said he was ordered to hide the body near a Hispanic male in Tibbetts’ area, to pin the blame on someone else. The witness said he came forward after he heard Rivera testify during the trial that two other men killed Tibbetts and put the blame on him. Forensic expert, Joe Scott Morgan, Professor at Jacksonville State University weighs in on whether the evidence can support that claim.

Tiger King Sentence SLASHED?
A federal appeals court has ordered former zoo owner and “Netflix” star Joe Exotic to be re-sentenced for his conviction in a murder-for-hire plot. The “Tiger King” star — real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage — was sentenced in January 2020 to 22 years in a federal lockup for trying to hire two men to kill his nemesis, Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin. A three-judge panel in Denver’s Court of Appeals ruled that the original sentence was issued using the wrong sentencing guidelines. The judges found the trial court should have treated the murder-for-hire convictions as one since they both involved the goal of having Baskin killed. The proper sentencing range should have been between 17 ½ to just under 22 years, the panel wrote, not just under 22 years to 27 years in prison. Cult Mom Lori Vallow: New Bombshell Evidence!
The Chandler, Arizona, Police Department has released some 2,500 documents from their investigation into “cult mom” Lori Vallow after the disappearance of two of her children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. Among the documents is a photo of young JJ, dated September 22, 2019. It’s unknown if it’s the last photo taken of the boy, but it was taken on the last day he was seen before investigators found his body and that of his sister buried in Chad Daybell’s backyard on June 9, 2020. Lori Vallow and Daybell have been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the deaths of the children and Daybell’s then-wife, Tammy Daybell, who died suddenly in October 2019. Iowa Jogger Mollie Tibbets' Killer to Walk Free?
Sentencing for the man convicted of killing University of Iowa student, Mollie Tibbetts, has been delayed amid new information. Judge Joel Yates ordered Cristhian Rivera’s sentencing be delayed after two witnesses told investigators that a different man confessed to the crime. The delay came about after the defense filed a motion, blaming the prosecution for withholding evidence. According to Bahena Rivera’s attorneys, an inmate at the county jail said in May that he heard someone identified as “inmate 2” admit that Tibbetts was “bound and gagged in a trap house but that he was directed to kill Tibbetts once the search for her got too close,” CBS 8 reports. Inmate 2 allegedly said he was ordered to stab Tibbetts, who was initially kidnapped for sex trafficking, but killed after the case became too high-profile. Inmate 2 allegedly said he was ordered to hide the body near a Hispanic male in Tibbetts’ area, to pin the blame on someone else. The witness said he came forward after he heard Rivera testify during the trial that two other men killed Tibbetts and put the blame on him. State prosecutors said the inmate is not credible and evidence presented at trial proved that the real killer is Rivera. Still, the defense requested that the inmate be given the opportunity to testify, although the defense had already rested its case. The body of a missing 13-year-old girl is found inside a pink tote bag discarded just off I-75 in Florida. Her guardian had reported the girl as missing. Now the guardian and an aunt have been arrested and charged with murder in Delia Young's death. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Valerie Young, 52, reported her niece Delia Young missing on May 16, saying she vanished from her home in Gainesville during the night. Couple Heads to Mountain Cabin, Goes Missing. H...
Bart Halderson, 50, and his wife Krista Halderson, 53, have been missing since before the 4th of July holiday. Their son, 23-year-old Chandler Halderson, reported them missing after they didn’t return from what he said was a planned weekend trip to their cabin in Langlade County. Chandler Halderson has since been arrested on suspicion of providing a false report in a kidnapping investigation. Investigators found human remains and a bloody tarp in a wooded area in a remote part of Dane County. An autopsy confirmed that father Bart Halderson died from homicidal violence including firearm injury. Krista Halderson is still missing. Chandler Halderson has not yet been charged with murder in his father’s death. A judge ordered him held on a $10,000 bond for the false report charge, despite the prosecutor’s request for a $1 million bond. Shocking New Evidence: Cult Mom Lori Vallow buy...
New evidence released by Arizona investigators indicates Charles Vallow's death was planned. Detailed text messages point to the idea of harming Lori Vallow's fourth husband being discussed months before he was shot by Alex Cox, who claimed self-defense. Vallow's brother, Gerry, said in an interview with EastIdahoNews.com that he was enraged by what he read in the report. A grand jury in Arizona indicted Lori Vallow for conspiracy to commit murder in Charles Vallow’s death. In May, a judge found that Lori Vallow was incompetent to stand trial and sent her to a state mental health facility for treatment. Gerry Vallow and his wife Melanie tell EastIdahoNews.com they have their doubts. MEDICAL EXAMINER'S NIGHTMARE: The Boy in the Mo...
Mark Redwine, 59, is on trial for the 2012 murder of his son Dylan Redwine, 13. Redwine was arrested in Washington in 2017 and charged with second-degree murder and child abuse, years after Dylan’s death. He has maintained his innocence but prosecutors say Redwine killed his son in a fit of rage. In 2012, volunteer search teams and authorities began scouring the area around Redwine’s Durango, Colorado, home for months, in hopes of finding Dylan. The search proved to be difficult since Durango is at an elevation of 6,512 feet with steep canyons and mountains. In June 2013, searchers found a few of Dylan’s bones, a part of his shirt, a sock, and his shoestring, in Vallecito, which is around five miles away from Durango. Searchers found his remains in an area difficult to get to, especially for a young boy or for someone who doesn’t know the area well. Defense attorneys argue that Dylan ran away from Redwine’s home and was likely killed by a mountain lion or bear. Forensic expert Joe Scott Morgan, professor at Jacksonville State University looks at the possibilities.
