Normally October turns into Socktober in support of Socks Kingston. This year we had to cancel our month long sock drive because of Covid-19.  However, that won't stop us from our Socktober Drive-Thru on October 24th at the Cataraqui Centre from 10a to 2p. Michelle from Socks Kingston joined us on the Fresh Morning Show to caht about Socks Kingston and the event.

Covid-19 has made people nervous about Halloween this year but Kingston Halloween Ninjas are doing a great thing to make sure kids in our community still have a good time. - Monica & Al

The Alzheimer Society Forget Me Not Family Portraits will be offered again this year, but in social distance style. Mask mandatory, except when posing for photos, and social distanced photography. MPP Ian Arthur joined the Fresh Morning Show via phone to chat about a school supply drive that his office is hosting.  And, he reveals what his favourite/least favourite subjects were in school.

Jordane Verner will ride his bike from Prince Edward County to Kingston on September 6th to raise money for three great organizations.  He hopes to create awareness, raise money for cancer research and hopes to help others with cancer.  Jordane and Jillian wanted to be able to give back to others.
