The Mets may not have punched a ticket to the World Series but they did give us one of the best years we’ve ever had as fans. We reflect on a heartbreaking loss but look forward to what is an incredible future with a fantastic front office, the best ownership in baseball and amazin’ years to come from Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos, Francisco Alvarez and a ton of other guys who made 2024 the magical ride it was.

We have a great podcast after one of the best playoff games in the history of Citi Field where the Mets put on a hitting clinic, not getting struck out a single time. David Peterson did his job, Reed Garrett and Ryne Stanek put on a show when it came to relieving in middle innings and Edwin Diaz is that guy. We also talked about the great moments from Vientos and Lindor and Winkier!

After another tough loss, we just break it down on an honest level and say why we still believe. We have seen this team come back after tough losses and go on incredible win streaks so we know this team has a fighting chance as long as they still have baseball to play.

Game 3 was not what we wanted but as we’ve seen in the past, you can always have faith in this Mets team to come out and attack after a tough loss.

Jose Quintana has had two of the biggest starts of the Mets postseason so far and he credits a lot of success to fans at Citi Field bringing the energy!

The Mets head back to Citi Field with all the momentum, hope to see all of you there and hear Mets fans helping create, as Rob Thompson said … “a hostile environment”

Game 1 wasn’t the episode we wanted, but every team has a tough game and there’s no team better at responding to tough games than the Mets. Kodai Senga struggled early, the bats never truly woke up but Game 2 is a new day and the Mets are still in the perfect spot to head back to Citi Field with a split series on the back of Sean Manaea, who has stepped up as the Mets ace this year.

Before the Mets left for Los Angeles, we got to sit down with David Peterson who has filled in a huge bullpen role for this post season and gotten some of the biggest outs the Mets could ask for this October vs the Brewers and Phillies. The Mets take a crazy Game 1 vs the NL 2nd place Phillies who like others, had the Mets backs up against a wall late in the game off a spectacular start from Zack Wheeler, but YET AGAIN, these never say die Mets show up when challenged. Although a leadoff Kyle Schwarber home run is a tough way to start a game, Kodai Senga shined after, and David Peterson picked up the ball to take the game all the way through a Reed Garret late appearance to keep the Phils off the board.
