The House List

The House List is a casual, long-form conversational show by music industry veteran Peter Agoston. Agoston got his start on terrestrial radio in 1994 and from there set off on a long journey that continues to this day. Years spent contributing print writing and photography for the likes of Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, The Source, Miami New Times, Wax Poetics and more. He also spearheaded an influential boutique record label and video magazine. For over the last decade he has worked as a booking agent. This podcast is a long-running return to form, as an interviewer. Book 'The House List' live: peter@agostonagency.com. Proud part of Pantheon - the podcast network for music lovers.

We even get some rec.music.hiphop talk in, for the older-older heads. Recorded in Los Angeles while on tour with Apathy.

Ep. 110 - Luke Sick (Sacred Hoop)
Our guest Luke Sick is an Underground Bay Area hip-hop vet. This seminal group Sacred Hoop played an integral roll in the mid 90's mega-blast of underground rap tapes spawned in California and traded worldwide. Luke's psychedelic story-telling approach is like Slick Rick meets Andre Nickatina meets Charles Bukowski meets Norman Mailer. In the late aughts he's been releasing a mind-numbing amount of new projects on cassette all worth tracking down. If you may not really be that familiar with his work let this conversation be your gateway drug into a vast array of songs and albums. Enjoy and don't forget to help us spread the word!
