Mini Marconis

In 2020 and 2021, the fiction podcast industry was flooded with a crop of young high school and college-age creators, excited to take advantage of the medium’s low barrier to publication and take on producing for the first time. Audio drama veteran and “baby” “genius” Newt Schottelkotte knows how that feels. After starting their first fiction podcast, Inkwyrm, at fifteen, Newt came of age in the industry, and wants to share their tips, trials, and experience with young creators to arm them with not just concrete advice, but the confidence to get started and tell incredible stories. From overcoming imposter syndrome, to networking, to finding a work-school-more-work-life balance, this is a been-there-done-that series about how to be a fiction podcaster while still being a kid– in every sense of the phrase.
