The Padres faced the Giants for the second time in the last week or so and this time a split wasn't possible with the three-game series. Dylan Cease gave San Diego his first quality start of the year but it went to waste, as the offense failed to come through enough when they had the chances. Michael King pitched great in game two and Matt Waldron did his job on Sunday but it ended up not mattering when all things were said and done. Onto the Cubs series back at home.
