The Best & Worst of Metallica Part 2 (1996-Toda...
Riding high on the success of The Black Album, Metallica returned in 1996 with Load and Reload a year later. The band had a new look and a new, stripped down sound. While the changes didn't necessarily resonate with their hardcore fans, it opened the band to a new audience and success continued. They would continue to change with the release of St. Anger before returning to an earlier sound with Death Magnetic. However, they'd take a huge left turn courtesy of the collaboration with Lou Reed in Lulu. Righting the ship, they'd release Hardwired...to Self Destruct to the joy of their fan base. In 2022, they'd give fans a glimpse of the future with the release of the single 'Lux Aeterna.' This release would coincide with the announcement of their next album '72 Seasons' as well as a huge tour with Pantera to come in 2023 and 2024. In this discussion, the guys pick their favorite and least favorite tune off each album, give their thoughts on the ever-changing sound of the band during these years and state their hopes for the next album. Additionally, they discuss singles, EP releases, and cover songs released during this period.

The Best & Worst of Motley Crue 1990 & Beyond -...
For as massive as Motley Crue was in the 1980's, the years beyond that have been a study in contrasts. After a decade of churning out memorable, fist-pumping arena rock anthems, the new decade of the 90's was a battle for the legendary Hollywood band. The 1990's started strong with the release of 'Decade of Decadence.' However, the dismissal of front man Vince Neil would signify a big fall from the top. The self-titled 1994 album showed off a new side to the band with their new addtion, John Corabi. However, commercial success would elude them. This would force the return of Vince Neil and an album that did more to confuse fans than excite them in 'Generation Swine.' Since then, only one full release 'Saints of Los Angeles' has been issued along with several greatest hits compilations, soundtracks, and singles that provided a smattering of new material. In this episode, we go through all of these releases including the one-off singles of recent years. Did we find some diamonds in the rough or will this be tough sledding? You'll have to listen to find out.
