While this segment almost didn’t happen because of the pandemic and we didn’t know how much tennis would be played in 2020, thankfully the tour was able to get in quite a few tournaments in the latter part of the year. We are so happy to have on with us tonight both Heath and Lindsay Lee-Waters, the creators of Match Tennis App which at a high level is basically your virtual tournament desk for signing into tennis tournaments and so much more. Lindsay is a former top 35 WTA player and Heath is a veteran ATP/WTA Registered tour coach since 1998. Heath's professional players have won more than 90 professional titles on tour and his junior students have won more than 30 gold balls. Oklahoma Sooners Men's Head Tennis Coach Nick C...
We have with us tonight Men’s Head Tennis Coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, Nick Crowell. In four seasons at the helm for the Sooners, Coach Crowell has compiled a record of 65-32 and has led OU to three NCAA tournament berths while coaching three players to All-American honors. He coached the 2017 NCAA Doubles champs in Spencer Papa and Andrew Harris who beat teams ranked 6,3,4, and 1 to take home the title. Coach Crowell has coached players that have gone on to win 119 professional titles. Prior to his arrival in Norman, Crowell spent 13 years as an assistant coach and associate head coach at Florida State University where he helped lead the Seminoles to the NCAA tournament in each of those seasons. Coach Crowell also has experience in the junior ranks. In 2010 he coached the Florida USTA Under-18 Team to a national championship. The win marked the first time since 1983 that the Florida team had won the prestigious tournament. For his efforts he was named the USTA Florida Junior Coach of the Year. A native of Amarillo, Texas, Crowell spent his playing days at the University of Texas. He was a two-time All-American in doubles and won the ITA National Indoor Championship in doubles with partner Michael Blue during his senior season. We are happy to have him on the pod tonight. TopCourt Director of Business Development Brad Cox
We are so happy to have with us on tonight Brad Cox, the current Director of Business Development at TopCourt. TopCourt is an online instruction and storytelling platform enabling tennis fans to learn from the game's best players and top coaches. Brad has quite the tennis background himself in that he trained at IMG Academy from the ages of 14 – 18 and trained with all of the pros that came through the Academy, including Kei Nishikori. Brad went on to compete collegiately at the University of Kentucky where he was an All-American his junior year, along with being a captain his junior and senior year. And to add a "fun fact", Brad may or may not have been a contestant on the Bachelorette. We are happy to hear Brad’s journey through the sport of tennis and to learn more about his current venture at TopCourt.

Oklahoma State Associate Head Coach Scoville Je...
We are privileged to have Oklahoma State Associate Head Coach Scoville Jenkins on with us tonight. Some of Scoville's accomplishments include the following: On August 16, 2004, at the age of 17, Scoville became the first African-American to capture the Boys' 18 USTA National Hard Court title in singles in the tournament's 89-year history. In 2004, Scoville reached the semi-finals of Junior Wimbledon, the quarter-finals of both the Junior US Open and the Junior Australian Open, and was ranked 6 in the ITF junior rankings. Professionally, Scoville reached a career high ranking of 187 and faced Rafa Nadal in the second round of the 2005 US Open and faced Roger Federer in the first round of the 2007 US Open. He’s currently in his 3rd season as the Associate Head Men’s Tennis Coach of the Oklahoma State Cowboys after previous stops at Kennesaw State, University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin. Tina Pisnik - Former Top 30 WTA Player
We are privileged to have with us former top 30 singles player on the WTA Tour, Tina Pisnik. Tina was a participant of all major slams reaching the third round in the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. Her accomplishments include winning one title on the WTA tour where she defeated two-time slam winner and former number one in the world, Amelie Mauresmo. She also represented her country Slovenia in both Fed Cup and at the Olympics. After Tina's professional playing days were over, Tina has focused her time on teaching tennis. We are privileged to have with us newly appointed Men’s Interim Head Tennis Coach at Baylor University, Michael Woodson. Coach Woodson is entering his 5th season with the Baylor Bears where Coach Woodson and his program are looking forward to doing some pretty big things this upcoming season. Prior to Coach Woodson’s time at Baylor, Coach Woodson both played and then coached at Valparaiso University where he contributed to bringing in the greatest recruiting class in the history of Valpo where those players, highlighted by Jeffrey Schorsh and Charlie Emhardt, rewrote the school’s history books both individually and as a team. We’ve had Coach Woodson on the podcast a couple times previously, and we are pleased to bring him back on again.

Iowa Hawkeye Men's Head Tennis Coach Ross Wilson
Recorded slightly before the shocking news of the cutting of the Iowa Men's Tennis Program which will occur after the 2020-2021 season, we spoke with 6th Year Men’s Head Coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Coach Ross Wilson. During his six years as Iowa’s head coach, Coach Wilson has coached three All-Big Ten honorees and a number of student-athletes into the program’s top wins lists. Eight of Wilson’s student-athletes rank in the top-15 in single-season doubles wins, including five that are in the top-15 in career doubles victories. Coach Wilson played his collegiate tennis at Ohio State where he was a standout from 2002-06. He was a two-time NCAA All-American and three-time ITA national doubles champion. He was part of the only doubles tandem in the history of college tennis to ever win back-to-back ITA National Indoor titles (2005 and 2006) and was part of the No. 1 ranked doubles team in the nation those seasons.
