Prior to forming Artemis and prior to the acquisition of Polygram by Universal in 1998, Goldberg was Chairman and CEO of the Mercury Records Group, which was the number one U.S. label group in terms of market share in 1998. Just over a year ago we started this tribute to Grunge and the Seattle scene. Through it all, it comes down to this. We have reached the No. 1 Record on Rolling Stones Greatest grunge albums of all time. Nirvana Nevermind. Thanks go to every guest who helped make this series what it is. A time capsule of one of music's most prominent movements. Not only do we dive deep into the record that set it all in motion, we look back on the last year and what it all means. Nevermind is the second studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991 by DGC Records. Produced by Butch Vig, it was Nirvana's first release on the DGC label, as well as the first to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Nevermind features a more polished, radio-friendly sound than the band's prior work, and is therefore considered a significant departure from their debut album, Bleach.

Coming in at Number 2 on Rolling Stones Greatest Grunge Albums is the 1991 release from Soundgarden, Badmotorfinger. The guest host this ep is Kevin Williams from the In Obscuria podcast. Kevin brings his very unique expertise to the show as he and Bakko relive this Grunge masterpiece. Badmotorfinger is the third studio album by American rock band Soundgarden, released on September 24, 1991, through A&M Records. Soundgarden began the recording sessions for the album with new bassist Ben Shepherd in the spring of 1991. The album maintained the band's heavy metal sound while featuring an increased focus on songwriting as compared with the band's previous releases.
