When Pat Berlinquette was taking care of his mom near the end of her life, he was prompted to write songs; more than 60 of them. "It was like her last gift to me," he remarked. 12 of them became the tracks on his latest album. Charlottesville, Virginia singer-songwriter Lora Kelley released her much anticipated, debut, full length album this past June (2021). Finding herself in the middle space of life, Lora was moved to pen her experiences and put them to music. The end result is her recorded project,, "Domystique." Texas singer-songwriter, Taylor Rae, joins us for this edition of Americana Music Profiles to talk about her debut record, "Mad Twenties," and the origins behind her songs and her busy musical career.

Caleb Bailey spent several years with his bluegrass band, Allegheny Blue, before taking a break from music. Prompted to start writing again, he's back with his debut solo CD, Poplar & Pine. The only guitar to survive was the one he took with him when he left his house that morning.
