Bassmaster Pro Angler Brandon Palahniuk, winner of 2022’s Bassmaster Elite Series Angler of the Year, made it onto the Blood Origins radar after some thoughtful posts to his thousands of followers about his other passion - hunting elk. Brandon joins Robbie this week to talk about his unabashed life online, and ‘the why’ behind him hunting.

Robbie did a little something different on this week’s Roundup, coming at us on the ground with guests DeeDee Lancey and Ryan Martin who won our Supporter’s Program grand prize. Alex and the Trust - which creates sanctuary areas for Rhinos and calves that have been displaced by poaching - have some strong opinions about legalization of the trade of rhino horns. This isn’t a traditional podcast. This is Alex real and raw, from his vehicle in Namibia, laying out his thoughts on the idea of rhino trade. He sent us this monologue and I knew we needed to publish it.

He joins the podcast to talk about the burgeoning bowhunting ban in South Australia as an expert in the craft of archery.

Robbie sits down with Jason Sumner of the Missouri Department of Conservation and Nate Bowersock the new bear biologist for the state of Missouri. Joel Gay is one of the leading voices advocating for the reformation of the E-Plus Program in New Mexico. The Chapter President of New Mexico Backcountry Hunters and Anglers (BHA), Joel joins Robbie for a very thoughtful discussion on why BHA believes the E-Plus program needs to be reformed.
