March 24, 2023 - <br /><br />Season 13, Episode 105 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest concerning safety Terrell Edmunds as it now appears that he won't be re-signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We also discuss a free agent safety still on the market who could potentially fill Edmunds' role in the defense.<br /><br />The Steelers had a large contingent at the Ohio State and Alabama pro days this week so Alex and I discuss who was spotted where. We discuss several of the prospects they likely paid close attention to while at those pro days. We talk about Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Steen and defensive back Brian Branch a lot early in this show. Alex and I move on to spend a lot of time talking about Ohio State tackle Dawand Jones on the heels of his pro day. We wonder if pre-draft process has caused the big tackle to now have a few red flags when it comes to the Steelers.<br /><br />The Steelers had linebacker coach Aaron Curry at the Wisconsin pro day on Thursday so Alex and I discuss a player he was likely getting a closer look at, Nick Herbig. We discuss a potential position switch for Herbig at the NFL level and if he could potentially be a day-three Steelers' selection due to all the dot-connecting. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signing cornerback James Pierre on Tuesday. We talk about what his one-year deal probably looks like and more.<br /><br />The Cincinnati Bengals are reportedly shopping tackle Jonah Williams so Alex and I quickly hit on that news and if there is any possibility that the Steelers might have interest in trading for him. We also address the news that the Steelers reportedly had some interest in outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel prior to him re-signing with the Miami Dolphins recently.<br /><br />It's been a busy week once again for Steelers general manager Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin on the pro day circuit so Alex and I recap their trips to Iowa State and Iowa so far this week. In this late Tuesday night show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the second day of the annual NFL legal tampering period and how it included several more moves related to the Pittsburgh Steelers.<br /><br />We start by talking about the Steelers agreeing to terms with former New York Jets guard Nate Herbig earlier on Tuesday. We have both watched a little tape on Herbig since the news about him broke and we go over our notes on the former undrafted free agent out of Stanford. Later in the show, we go over the full contract details related to Herbig.<br /><br />The Steelers also reportedly re-signed safety Damontae Kazee and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi on Tuesday so Alex and I go over those decisions. We don't have the full contract details yet on both of those players but we do have some financials to pass along.
