This week we are in double digits! Welcome to Episode 10! As always, thank you for your support and for coming back each week to listen in. On Remote Scoreboard, Paul delves into the Shaq Bowl games, and they discuss whether they think this is going to be an event that is popular and just what types of games that Shaq will have in the Shaq Bowl. Renee and the 2-Lit Crew were excited and all agreed they would be watching the festivities. Next they discuss Naomi Osaka and her new investment of becoming a team owner of the North Carolina soccer team! Naomi is doing big things and the cast of Remotely Renee are all about uplifting and positivity and love seeing young people grow. And last but certainly not least Paul talks about Legend Hank Aaron’s passing with all the crew talking about the wonderful things he has done for the world, and how they are going to honor his life. They also talked about the conditions that he endured during his baseball career and courage to continue to play despite the adversities. Renee also stop’s to take a minute to talk about losing a great colleague Sekou Smith to Covid-19 and how the sports world lost another great, and he will be sorely missed. Next in Happening IRL we hear from Darius Butler who is dropping all the Super Bowl knowledge and all the details of what we need to know going into Super Bowl LV. After hearing Darius explain the facts Renee and the 2-Lit Crew weigh in on their super bowl picks with an even split of Buccaneers and the Chiefs. Remote 1 on 1 we connected with the First lady of Sports casting Pam Oliver. She talked about her beginnings in the broadcasting world and then how she broke into sports casting. And in the full interview she sets the record straight about the incident at Lambo Field. Snook continues to school us on Remote Roots by letting us know the history and beginning of Black History Month. She also informs us of this year’s Black History month theme and then gives a teaser about a great love story she will be talking about on her next Remote Roots segment. The Husky Ticket Project is a 501C3 foundation that is donating 100% of the proceeds to athletics for children to play Husky sports. This week’s remote scoreboard Renee and the 2-LIT-Crew ask the question “How much would you pay for a ticket to the super bowl?” They also talk about “Topps Now” (Biden Administration) cards and give lots of love to the huskies for numerous huskies doing great things on and off the court. Including Coach Geno Auriemma surpassing Pat Summit’s winning record as the winning coach in women’s Basketball history. Oren Burks, linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, is a REAL LIFE HERO, talking about his work off the field with the charity House of Hope. House of Hope is a charity that focuses on homelessness in the Green Bay area. He talks about this extension of works that started collegially and flowed over into his professional career. Remote Show n’ Tell gave accolades to Red Bull for doing a duel magazine cover with Renee and also with Natasha Cloud. Acknowledging both women and not making them share the spotlight. Remote 1 on 1 features Zack Stephen from Manchester City all the way in the United Kingdom where he discusses playing overseas and his experience playing for such a prestigious foundation. Renee surprised the 2 Lit Crew with a remote review. But it wasn’t the usual movie review. It was a review of the inaugural services with everyone discussing what stood out in this historic event. Gotcha! In this segment of Remote Roots Snook shares how she is a “Gotcha Baby” and explained the back story of Fannie Pearl and Will Smith’s gotcha moment and how she ended up living in wild and wonderful West Virginia. Finally Remote Roses went out to all those who showed support and sent happy Birthday videos for Snook’s birthday! Snook was shocked and grateful for all the love. Welcome to this week’s episode of Remotely Renee! Renee begins the show with a new segment called “On This Day”, listing historical and other special events that happened on January 12th in previous years. Out of everything that happened, what stuck out to you the most? Renee also discusses the historical event that happened at our nation’s capital on January 6th, which resulted in more than 60 policemen injured, with more than 15 still hospitalized, and 1 is in critical condition. What are your thoughts on what transpired that day? For today’s Remote Roses, Renee gives Roses to the peaceful protesters of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as those who voted in the presidential race and the Georgia election. In other topics, Renee and crew talk about the Florida Dolphins stadium opening up for Covid Testing and vaccines, with a goal to distribute a minimum of 1,000 vaccines a day to those 65+. Speaking of vaccines, Snook talks about the shocking history of why minorities are hesitant to take vaccines or trust, medical professionals. Paul talks about China constructing the E-sports facility of the world. There are currently 720 million gamers in China, so this will be right up their alley. China is doing it bigger and better than anyone! Renee chats with lawyer, producer, and sports entertainment writer Kelsey Trainer (who has been referred to as the “Kevin Bacon” of Twitter).
