The Blackhawks lost their last 2 games to Carolina and are pretty much just playing the season out. This is a good time for young players to get more ice time and rest the more veteran players. The Chicago Blackhawks dropped both games against Florida. 2 games that should have been won but deficiencies on defense and some soft goals essentially doomed the team. <br /><br />Alex Debrincat played very well and so did a lot of the young guys. Adam Gaudette has played well since he has been playing with the team and seems to be pushing to stay on the roster. I think there is going to be a lot of competition next year for roster spots amongst the youth on the team. <br /><br />Going forward we'd like to see if Colin Delia can get an oppurtunity to play. We already know what we have with Kevin Lankinen and Malcolm Subban. Andrew Shaw retired yesterday after lingering issues with concussions. He has been dealing with these problems for a couple years now and the Doctors said it was time to hang the skates up. He had a great career with the Blackhawks and will always be remembered on for being a part of 2 cup runs.<br /><br />The Blackhawks lost to Tampa Bay tonight and it was a rough game. Goalies had a bad night but the Hawks put up a lot of shots on goal. The Chicago Blackhawks played the Nashville Predators in a three game series this week. They lost the first game, won the second on in an OT thriller, and lost the third game.<br /><br />We go over what we think the Hawks are as a team, the Malcolm Subbans play, and news from around the NHL.<br /><br />These 2 losses could be the last nails in the coffin for the playoffs. The Chicago Blackhawks played the Detroit Redwings in their last series and lost the first one 4-1 and won the second one 4-0. Kevin Lankinen was in goal for the loss and Malcolm Subban was in net for the win.<br /><br />Where are we with the backup goalie situation? It's clear Lankinen is our starter but Subban has been wildly inconsistent and Delia only got one opportunity to play. <br /><br />One bright spot has been the additions from Florida. The Chicago Blackhawks won both games against Columbus and got some much needed points. Nashville has been on a tear and we need to keep pace with them. <br /><br />We had a few new players play today and Brett Connolly made the biggest impression with a great goal in the third period. The Hawks need to play hard to stay in the hunt to make the playoffs.<br /><br />Not a very active trade deadline but we have all the trades that took place.<br /><br />Leave a comment and lets talk about the trades that were made and the Hawks going forward.

The Chicago Blackhawks won 1 and lost 1 to the Dallas Stars in their last series. They looked good in the first game but not so much in the second game. The Chicago Blackhawks split the series with the Hurricanes but could have taken both games. The Hawks won the first game and lost a heart breaker in the last one. <br /><br />The Blackhawks have been getting out shot in many of their games and it seems like carrying the puck into the offensive zone seems to be a problem.<br /><br />Going forward they need to tighten up on defense and defensemen need to start getting pucks on net and creating more chances.<br /><br />Thanks for watching and let us know what you thought of the games in the comments below.

The Chicago Blackhawks recently have been an up down team. It was looking questionable going against Florida right after losing to Tampa but the Blackhawks pulled out 2 wins. It was great. They looked solid and played hard. Brandon Hagel was a force to be reckoned with, Patrick Kane was great, the rest of the team played their role.<br /><br />Then came Nashville.......<br /><br />It was the complete opposite. They seemed to not play with the same vigor that they did against Florida. They lost a lot of puck battles and a lot of shots on goal to a team that I don't think is very good. They didn't play hard until the third period in the second and game that wasn't enough to pull out a win.<br /><br />They move on to play Carolina and hopefully they can answer the bell because this team is tough.<br /><br />Thanks for watching! The Blackhawks lost both games to the Panthers. The Panthers looked tough and played well. The Blackhawks had streaks where they looked good but took to many penalties and could not hold on to a lead. <br /><br />With Tampa Bay coming up they need to rest up and prepare for the defending champions.<br /><br />Where do you think the Hawks need to make improvements? The Chicago Blackhawks played the lightning and put them on notice. The Chicago Blackhawks dropped the first game 5-3 but made a statement in the 2nd game winning 7-2.<br /><br />Effort wasn't an issue in the first game just had some bad puck luck. Redwings didn't play very well except for Marc Staal. He played great and did everything he could for the wings.<br /><br />Patrick Kane scored his 400th goal last night and he played great as usual.<br /><br />What did you think of this series? The Chicago Blackhawks played Columbus Blue Jackets and won both games! The first game was a 6-5 shootout win and the second was a 2-0 regulation win. <br /><br />Lankinen started the 1st game and Subban won the second game. 1 thing noticeable is after the game all the guys seem to be happy playing with each other and its great to see these guys become a team.<br /><br />Thanks for listening! The Chicago Blackhawks are 7-1-1 in their last 9 games! It has been a great effort from the first line down to the 4th. Special Teams has been great and goaltending has been stellar.<br /><br />The Redwings played the Blackhawks pretty tough and gave a great effort. Their goaltending kept them in the games.
