The Battle of Kursk
<p>It’s approaching July 1943 and German forces have pushed on to Kursk, north of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.&nbsp;</p><p>As they await the spring thaw and recommencement of hostilities, the Russians are digging in for a long defensive fight and future counter-offensive.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>It’s clear the Germans are beatable, but can the Red Army take advantage of their superior supply lines, rations &amp; vehicles, and partizan support from locals? Or will their far higher casualty rates level the playing field?
