She detailed the inaction by the president and Mark Meadows as the riot broke out at the Capitol. Steve, Jonah, Sarah, and David discussed their reactions to the committee’s surprise hearing. Plus: A conversation on a post-Roe America.

This week Steve sat down with The Dispatch’s own Haley Byrd Wilt to discuss her 20,000-word piece on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. Haley spent months talking to dozens of people about the bill and we are publishing the report in installments throughout the week. She and Steve talked about everything from answering basic questions about the crisis in the Xinjiang region to the staffers on Capitol Hill responsible for actually getting this bill passed. Then, Jonah and Andrew join Steve to talk about the January 6 hearings.
