<p>In the SIAC Twitter Spaces hosted by @D2HBCUFootball in conjunction with HBCU Pulse, a conversation about if the CIAA &amp; SIAC should bring back the Pioneer Bowl is had after an epic 2022 Celebration Bowl between North Carolina Central &amp; Jackson State. The Pioneer Bowl was a bowl game started in 1997 that pitted the SIAC Champion against the CIAA champion to determine a D2 National Champion. In some years where the champions earned an spot in the Division II National Playoffs, the runners up in both conferences would face off and vice versa. Before the Celebration Bowl, it was the only Bowl Game featuring HBCUs. in was discontinued in 2014.</p>
