Super League 2024 is almost here, so we went to have a chat with a load of people.... Kicking off the 2024 season of LIVE shows, we're joined by Joe Gardiner, one of the team who brought you Super League on Channel 4, and the Director/Producer of new documentary 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, who takes us behind the scenes on both those projects, the universally praised coverage of RL on C4, and how the life and career of Sam Tomkins translates to the big screen. As ever, much to talk about and discuss....

Episode one of "We Are York" was released in January, the new documentary series following the club in 2024. Craig Bingham, director of the series, joined us to talk about the initial reaction to that first episode, how the series came about, what he's made of the Knights and Valkyrie so far, and how being "authentic" is important. He also offers advice to other clubs looking to make a similar series, and how content matters in the packed sports documentary field.

Peter Hutton has been there and done pretty much everything in the broadcasting industry, and he joins us from California to talk about the launch of SuperLeague+, the reasons behind it, what Rugby League can do to grow, how focussing on players is key and much more. Plenty to listen to, and learn from a member of the RL Commercial board.

2023, we think. just about comes to a close this weekend, with a busy two days in Leeds.
