Tohru does her thing and is able to have empathy for Akito and honestly confesses her fear to Kyo. Kyo almost gets his hug and we get some backstory on his upbringing. Shigure was strangely rather pathetic and not his normal witty/mischievous self. The original show has an ending but it definitely leaves a lot unanswered and feels somewhat lacking.
