New Year, Same Bulls

Bulls In Da Hunt
Cash Considerations is back to talk about a Chicago Bulls team that's suddenly just a game out of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Jason and Ricky discuss another crazy week, which featured both a huge implosion (vs. Thunder) and a huge comeback (vs. Wizards). We highlight the improved play of Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn and how they've helped make the Bulls more competitive of late, but we still wonder just what the ceiling is for this core of players.

John Paxson Speaks
Jason returns to Cash Considerations after an episode off to talk with Ricky about another eventful week of Chicago Bulls Basketball. But most notably, John Paxson talked to select members of Bulls media, and he confirmed that Jim Boylen isn't going anywhere. Jason and Ricky recap Paxson's comments and lament the disappointing state of the team.

The Full Zach LaVine Experience
Cash Considerations is back to talk about an absolutely wild week of Chicago Bulls Basketball. The Bulls went 2-2 this past week and capped it off with a thrilling 116-115 victory over the Hornets in which Zach LaVine went for a career-high 49 points and hit 13 3-pointers, including the game-winner in the last second to cap off a furious eight-point comeback in the final minute. This explosion came a night after Jim Boylen yanked LaVine due to mistakes in an ugly loss to the Miami Heat, and after the shooting guard had really struggled earlier in the week against the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons. Jason and Ricky talk about the Zach LaVine Experience, the LaVine-Boylen beef, Lauri Markkanen's continued struggles, the future of the Bulls' rebuild and much more.

At Least Coby White is Fun?
On this episode of Cash Considerations, Jason and Ricky are joined by The Athletic's Stephen Noh to talk about another disappointing week for the Chicago Bulls. While Coby White got the Bulls' week off to a good start with a historic performance against the Knicks, they then faltered in a hard-fought loss to the Bucks and then against a shorthanded Nets team. We highlight the biggest issues with Jim Boylen's coaching, as well as the disappointing play of Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen. We do hit on some positives in White's scoring explosions and the progression of Wendell Carter Jr., despite the misuse of the young big man. Thanks to our partner UNTUCKit. Another awful week
Cash Considerations is back to talk about another Chicago Bulls disappointment. Jason and Ricky rant after the Bulls' ugly 108-95 loss to a shorthanded Pacers team, which dropped Chicago to 2-5 on the season. The Bulls are stacking up bad losses to begin the 2019-20 campaign, and there are plenty of people to blame, from supposed star players Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen to head coach Jim Boylen. One saving grace of this awful start has been the play of Wendell Carter Jr., who needs to be even more unselfish on the offensive end as he continues to develop.  Thanks to our partners UNTUCKit and Manscaped. Trying Not To Panic
Cash Considerations is back to talk about the Chicago Bulls' disappointing 1-3 start. Jason and Ricky are doing their best not to panic after an ugly meltdown against the New York Knicks, but there are some big-picture concerns to address. The Bulls need more consistent production from top guns Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen, and any production at all from Otto Porter Jr. and Tomas Satoransky. Jim Boylen also has to figure things out with his defensive scheme and rotations, among other things.

Stung on Opening Night
Cash Considerations is back to discuss the Bulls' season opener against the Hornets. While the Bulls entered the season with some hype, they suffered a disappointing 126-125 loss to a Hornets team expected to finish toward the bottom of the East. Jason and Ricky discuss the awful defense and fourth-quarter collapse that helped make this defeat happen, as well as the poor performance of Zach LaVine. On a positive note, Lauri Markkanen looked dominant, and the Bulls got strong showings from bench players Coby White, Thaddeus Young and Kris Dunn. It's a long season, and the Bulls need to bounce back after this unacceptable loss.  Blue Wire thanks our partners for this week, Axios and Indochino. The Bulls are Back
Cash Considerations is back, and so are the Chicago Bulls. Jason and Ricky talk about the Bulls' first two preseason games of the 2019-20 season. While they lost both games, there were plenty of positives to take from the losses, namely what looks like a revamped, modern offense. We dive into the rotation and talk about the improved depth and skill across the roster, including where No. 7 pick Coby White fits. We finish up talking about Jim Boylen, where the Bulls' future ranks in the NBA and the impressive Zion Williamson. Thanks to our partners Axios and Harrys. Bulls Media Day Recap: Playoffs?!
Cash Considerations is back to talk all things Chicago Bulls Media Day. Jason and Ricky applaud the Bulls for coming out and saying their goal is to make the playoffs in the 2019-20 season. We love what the players had to say about the upcoming campaign, especially the leadership on display from Thaddeus Young and even Kris Dunn on accepting any role. However, some of the optimism is drained by early injuries to Wendell Carter Jr. and Daniel Gafford during a three-hour first practice, and we couldn't help but take some jabs at the front office and Jim Boylen for this and their constant "in our building" refrain.
